Hotel Cime d'Oro

Disappointing stay in a overrated hotel!
For a 3 stars hotel and paying €147 per night, for a total of €294 per only 2 nights (taxes excluded) for a standard single room (although it was for the ferragosto week), it is absolutely not worth it!

Pros: quiet location, free parking, view, cleaned.

Cons: old dated room, with uncomfortable bed (a camping mattress would have been more comfortable plus unnecessary large bed for a small single room which leaves no space to move around in the room), without no plugs/sockets in the room (the only two are located in the least accessible corners), half-dark claustrophobic bathroom. On top of this, A VERY POOR BREAKFAST: for a 3 stars it is unacceptable serving only a bunch packaged food, without no fresh and season fruits or home-made pastry, etc. nothing was fresh not even the juices (same juice brand you buy at the supermarket and it is neither fresh nor natural as the the breakfast staff said…), I complained to the staff during breakfast and the staff at the reception without any answers, like they do not care…
Although I didn’t check the wellness area, I strongly believe it does not justify itself the 3 stars of the hotel and €147 per night.
Honestly not even in a 1 star garni b&b you can have such a poor breakfast!

I am honestly surprised about the average positive reviews (probably from people who do not travel much and do not know what expectations are from a 3 stars hotel), however, checking more carefully, the majority of the reviews are done by accounts with only one or two reviews which means reviews from very likely fake accounts: these allegedly spam reviews will be directly reported. Watch out!

If, exaggerating, was a 1 stars hotel and paying €60 per night, then it would have been more reasonable and appropriate. Otherwise, definitely not recommended!!

We had an amazing stay at this Hotel. The staff is multi lingua and are so friendly and helpful, the breskfast has a wide selection, and the spa area is new and has various pools and saunas and nice rest areas.

Great hotel. Mini-bus service to the ski lifts (although you can also walk to the nearest ski lift). Very friendly and helpful owner and staff.

Our skiing party of 20 people were looked after very well.
There's a dedicated hotel shuttle bus to he main lift and return at the end of the day. Very amicable.
Breakfast is a buffet and there's lots of choice, including scrambled eggs & frankfurters!
We'd booked on a B&B basis, but twice friends and I eat in the hotel, where they can accommodate small numbers of evening diners with a limited menu.
The bar and lounge area has a delightful ambience.
The wellness centre is a joy!!!

Great welcome and comfortable stay. Nice lounge / bar area. Path for lago Ritorto walk starts right behind hotel which is handy.

Very good personal service and friendly and helpful staff. The spa was very great. Breakfast was varied and tasty. We are very happy with our stay at Cime d'oro. About 10 minute walk to the center. Very very good.

Hotel Cime D'Oro.

This was my 3rd trip to Madonna di Campiglio and first time at Hotel Cime D'oro, owned and operated by Maria and Lorenzo. Lorenzo is a ski instructor and previously he has been my instructor twice.

The Hotel is located 500m to the south of the centre of Madonna di Campiglio and up a slight rise. Views from east facing rooms are of the Dolomiti Brenta and the Spinal area.

Although its rated as a 3* hotel, Maria and Lorenzo make it seem a 5* experience. They are extremely attentive to the needs of their guests and extremely helpful on organising ski passes, lessons and general advice.

Rooms are basic but warm and always hot water.

There is a downstairs locker room for skis and gear and then access up to the morning transfer coach which takes you to Spinale gondola every 15 minutes, or quicker. There's also a boot drying rack and it makes life much easier having the lockers.

The recent addition of a spa and pool with steam room and Finnish style sauna makes it like a 5* resort with towels (get flipflops at reception), reclining beds, jacuzzi, showers etc. A great way to unwind after a hard day on the slopes. Very peaceful and relaxing

Breakfast is pretty basic with limited hot food options, but enough to set you up for the day.

Dinner is also available, but ask first at Reception whether its on that night as some nights there are other functions on elsewhere.

There is also some car parking right outside the hotel and its fine.

I will definitely return and enjoy Hotel Cime D'Oro another time or two in 2020.

Our overall impression (we were a big crowd of more than 10 adults+2 children) - Cime d'Oro is very nice by all metrics.
Friendly owners, friendly and attentive staff, an excellent new spa zone with a pool, big (VERY BIG) lobby (with a fireplace!) where we spent evenings. Shuttle to ski lifts. Very tasty aperol spritz)). Maria, the owner, is very hospitable)
The rooms are of average size, I would prefer a little bigger and the bathrooms are not spacious too. But these are the only 2 drawbacks.
We enjoyed our vacations here, have been in Madonna 3-4 times.

The room was really cute with a rustic vibe (very comfortable) and the cutest balcony overlooking the most incredible view of the Dolomites - would 100% stay here again.

Colazione eccezionale. Personale assolutamente fantastico. Parcheggiate la macchina e non la toccate piu'. Camminate per tutte le esigenze e con scenari meravigliosi ad uun passo dall' hotel. Assolutamente consigliato con vista sulle splendide Dolomiti del Brenta, Patrimonio Mondiale dell' UNESCO.

I was a little concerned being a 3 star but i neednt have worried. Hosts were great, everywhere was very clean, rooms fairly spacious. Hard beds but that suits me. Lovely little balcony. Great views from the breakfast area out to the mountains and everywhere very walkable. Would definitely go back. Spa currently being developed and will add so much.
