One night just enough
Pros:

This hotel has a nice view and with lake around. I can say a romantic view.

Still iconic but slipping

As expected the property has huge wow factor and the location is worth the price of the stay.

Cons:

I’ve stayed at the Palace de Menthon five times over the years, and it has always been one of my favourite hotels in the Annecy area, which is why this most recent visit was somewhat disappointing. What has always set the hotel apart for me is its attention to detail and sense of guest experience. Unfortunately, on this occasion, that attention seems to be slipping. As a returning guest, I was surprised there was no acknowledgement of my previous stays. After a long and tiring drive, I also had to wait around 15 minutes to check in, which wasn’t the most welcoming start. There were also a number of small but noticeable issues in the room (308), such as a broken bath plug mechanism and coffee cups that are too small for the coffee machine servings. Outside, the gate intercom is difficult to reach from a car, which meant getting out in the rain to access it. I could go on but you get my drift. Individually these are minor details, but together they detract from what has previously been a very polished and thoughtful experience. I share this feedback because I know how excellent the hotel can be, and I hope to see it return to the high standards that made me a loyal guest in the first place.

Regrets and changes
Pros:

The regret is once again not staying 2 nights to take advantage of the spa, pool and fun activities around Annecy. Sadly I can’t type the changes as the text box has disappeared and I can’t read what I am typing
