Wonderful stay in a fortress!
Pros:

The location was perfect. Great restaurants just next to the hotel. The lady preparing breakfast was fabulous. Her homemade pastries were outstanding as well as her service. Parking was easy and close to wonderful wineries. Also, an easy drive from Florence.

Cons:

The receptionists were very nice but not quite knowledgeable about the rooms and surrounding area. Also, our television did not work the entire time of our stay. Nobody was able to help us with this problem.

Great location, fantastic breakfast, lovely staff. Great for anyone walking the Via Francigena

Cons:

The room could have been cleaner, as there was dust and hair on the floor, and the facilities felt a little dated for a 4-star property. We had requested a twin room, which was confirmed, but on arrival we were given a double. This was eventually resolved, and the beds were made up into twins by the receptionist, who was very apologetic and did his best quickly despite being on his own at the time. He couldn’t be faulted, but overall we would have expected a smoother experience from a 4-star property. The property also felt a bit understaffed at times. There was also no WiFi, which we were aware of at the time of booking.

We dropped our bags off early and the hotel locked up for the afternoon and we couldn't access our bags for hours - nobody about. First contact when we came early wasn't so friendly

Superbe petit établissement en plein centre de Monteregioni.
Ce petit bourg devient une pépite lorsque le tourisme de la journée s’en va.
Beau jardin et petite piscine pour les jours de canicule.
Hôtel dans une ancienne bâtisse mais avec tout le confort moderne.
Petit déjeuner super complet qui peu se prendre sur la terrasse , un plaisir.
