Got my refund.
Pros:

Unfortunately, I was not able to travel but the hotel refunded my money which I badly needed. So 4**** for their handling of the whole affair. Recommended.

Overall, the hotel was good value for the money and had a great location.
Pros:

Excellent location! Room was very comfortable including great air conditioning, bed and layout. Very clean. Daily maid service. Staff were very friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast was okay but there could be more fresh fruit and cheeses and meats.
Information about reserving parking can be improved. Parking around hotel is a very tight and minimal. The web site said that hotel had parking. But I had to use public parking for the first two of three nights because I needed to reserve and pay for a space.

Pros:

Family run hotel, polite staff, we paid for the parking, there were 5 spots but they were mostly empty. Rooms were ok, comfy beds, but the linen was worn with some small holes. Nice and quiet in the evenings. Great location. Perfect for exploring Bayeux. Breakfast was ok, a little different, but being from the UK, we missed the cooked breakfast, but there was scrambled eggs and bacon. Croissant, flans , cake, yoghurt, cereal and fresh fruit (tinned) .coffee was good. Would I return, probably , location was the winner .

Although the accomodation was good and staff were pleasant,being disabled proved to be a challenge.

Location was great with all attractions within walking distance.

Staff were very kind and helpful in general.

Cons:

Breakfast was disappointing.Cooked eggs were disgusting! Inedible!
The dining room was self service which proved very difficult for me having to use crutches due to my disability.
The whole experience was very disappointing.
I paid for a reserved parking space but due to limited spaces in a confined space,this was a problem and I had to park in the street.More disappointing,I wasn't offered a refund.

Tired plain hotel
Pros:

This hotel needs a complete renovation. But short of that, buy some lighting! Buy some quality linens and towels. Buy quality furnishings for your rooms. Make the reception area welcoming and bright. Simple changes can be done right away.

I don’t know who was lucky enough to get the rooms and bathrooms pictured but it was not me!

This hotel could be so lovely with a little effort. You can’t beat the location but I will admit that I wish I could have stayed in the many other hotels I walked by in Bayeux.

Stay here if you have no other choice, as we found ourselves with the coming up of the anniversary of D-day.
