This was a very unpleasant experience for us
Cons:

The Manager. Let me explain. The first morning of our 4-night stay, my wife took a shower, and I went to the dining room to get coffee for us. When I returned, my wife was cleaning up water that had flooded about half the room due to the shower being clogged. I started cleaning too. We found an employee, who was the hotel manager, to help. A few items of clothes and the bottom of my backpack were wet. Also, I was not able to shower since we needed to leave on a tour. After we got back from our tour, I asked the front desk clerk if we would receive some compensation due to the water problem in our room that morning. He got on the phone with the hotel manager, and they offered to provide breakfast for both of us the next 3 mornings (90 Euro value). I accepted that compensation. However, when we got back from dinner later that night, both the front desk clerk and the hotel manager were in the hotel lobby. The clerk said they would NOT provide breakfast as they promised a few hours earlier. When I asked why, the hotel manager started yelling at us. His behavior was uncalled for and very disrespectful. And he frightened my wife! This was a very unpleasant experience for us. We were inconvenienced due to the clogged shower, promised compensation that was later withdrawn & then shouted at by the extremely aggressive and disrespectful hotel manager. I recommend NOT staying at Hotel Bayeux

Schönes und freundliches Hotel für Kurzaufenthalt zur Erkundung der Normandie
Pros:

Sehr zentral und dennoch ruhig gelegen. Reichhaltiges Früstück. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Cons:

Zimmer in der oberen Etage etwas klein.

Mit Glück kann man einen kostenlosen Parkplatz finden.

Cons:

Frühstück lustlos, motivationslos.
Zimmer kark, hellhörig. Nicht ***.
Kann ich leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Quaint- cottage feel
Pros:

We really enjoyed staying here. It’s more like an old inn than a hotel. The service was wonderful, rooms are nice and clean, beds are comfy and the AC is WONDERFUL. My husband warned me that I might be hot in Europe because they don’t really do AC but the Hotel Bayeaux proved him wrong, and for me , proving my husband wrong was just a bonus!!

If you want a French experience and environment this hotel is the real thing.
Pros:

It’s a ‘real’ French hotel, not some chain that could be anywhere in the world. If you want to feel like you’re really in Bayeux, this is the place. It’s very popular with European travelers.

Cons:

I really have nothing negative to say. The location was great, it was quiet and the staff was friendly.

Die Lage ist gut. Das Frühstück kann ich nicht beurteilen. Freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Cons:

Eher schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Hotel ist abgewohnt. Der Wasserdruck im Zimmer ist zu tief. Ein Hotel wie in England in den 80ern - was aber seinen Charme haben kann.

Het personeel was ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Vanaf het moment van binnenkomst werd ik vriendelijk ontvangen en voelde ik me meteen welkom. Ze namen de tijd om vragen te beantwoorden en dachten echt met me mee. De service was snel, professioneel en met een glimlach. Dat maakte de hele ervaring extra prettig. Zeker een plek waar gastvrijheid hoog in het vaandel staat

Cons:

Het ontbijt was goed en er was voldoende keuze, maar er is nog ruimte voor verbetering. Met wat meer variatie en verfijning zou het echt naar een hoger niveau getild kunnen worden

Pros:

The staff were so helpful and polite. The bed was comfortable and clean. The location was excellent for us.

Cons:

The rooms are in need of upgrading, the fixtures, fittings and decoration are a bit tired. There was no kettle in the room and the hot part of the breakfast was usually luke warm and some items weren't replenished when breakfast was busy.

Odeur d’eau croupie dans la salle de bain
Petit dej : tu vas au supermarché tu en as pour moins cher et tu manges mieux.
Si tu veux utiliser le parking, tu payes!
Le personnel : j’étais seul donc inexistant pour eux! En revanche les groupes d’anglais eux ils ont toute l’attention!
Bref pour le prix payé pour une nuit, c’est décevant.

The employees were kind. They did an excellent job.

Cons:

In the toilet area the paint was peeling and there was mold. The holder for the shower head was broken and had not been fixed in a long time. The wall piece was rusting. The breakfast was less than good. The eggs appeared to have been cooked and then refrigerated and warmed up. The pancakes were hard and cold. Everything looked less than appetizing. The windows in the room collected moisture that dripped onto an unstable table. The picture that is used for advertising looked way nicer than the room actually is.

Great location and friendly helpful staff.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful (we don't speak French). Breakfast was tasty, fresh scrammbled eggs lovely. Receptionists took time to recommend bars and restaurants. Location was excellent for getting into town and also as a base for the Normandy Beaches. A good all round experience
