Nice and central.
At first wasn't keen on parking facilities but actually turned out just fine!
Location, comfortable room, decent bathroom, good breakfast
Friendly staff, comfortable clean room and bed.
Was given a twin room 231, which turned out to be designed wheel chair users, with wet room and low level sink and emergency cords. Excellent for that purpose, but not good for an upright 70 year old having to bend low to use the wash hand basin and the shower area was difficult. Also, it had an adjoining room with a locked door which meant that could clearly hear quiet chatting and TV from next room as the sound travelled through the gaps between the dot and frame.
Otherwise, would recommend the hotel. Nice buffet style breakfast.

The location was very good for public transport to nearby locations & for onward travel to Edinburgh. There were food outlets within walking distance of the hotel.
The location was in an area where there was a degree of traffic noise at all times.

Staff were lovely, breakfast was good. Liked the views. Room was very clean. Choose this hotel specifically because family rooms were available as we were traveling with our 16 year old daughter.
I couldn’t sleep because the bed was poor, not just that it was a double, (always disappointing as my husband is 6’3”) but the mattress was not good enough quality for two people, it didn’t stay flat, it’s hard to sleep when you’re rolling down a slope!
We could only find 2 sockets, not good enough in a family room.
The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was convenient for our plans.
There were aspects of the facilities that I think should have been better. One of the lifts was repeatedly faulty while we were there and more than once we got into it and found it was not responding to our pressing the buttons. We understood that the coffee machines at breakfast apparently were not providing decaf coffee although according to the instructions/ display they were. This was clearly misleading. Our issued access cards were not working at the start and we had to take them back to be fixed. The toilet in our room became blocked on the last morning for no good reason.

The shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor.
The highway traffic was loud most of the night.
The breakfast was mediocre: very weak coffee, a toaster that barely toasted bread, jam dispensers that didn’t work effectively, and an area that was much too small for the number of people trying to get their breakfasts.
