Well we stayed there the night before travelling home because it was close to the airport and we had an early flight.we had a very nice late lunch out by the pool. In the evening we were watching the Super Bowl so ordered pizza in the morning we were picked up and dropped off at the airport. Everything went very smoothly 🛫🛫

We arrived at 2-15pm.We waited for 1/2 hour to be checked in.We went to get lunch while we were waiting for our room.Terrible service again.We eventually got our room at 5pm(check in was 3pm)and that was because I refused to leave the desk until We got a room.They eventually had to upgrade us but it wasn’t good.They AC was like a jet engine.Do not stay at this hotel.
After a long flight, and our first time to Costa Rica, we found the place easily enough. Food was good; the setting was nice; our room was huge; and the buffet breakfast was yummy. Sadly, we didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked great!
Front desk staff could be more attentive. We had breakfast included but there was a mix up and the restaurant sent us to the front desk before letting us in. That was a first ever!
This was our fourth stay at the Hilton Garden Inn at Liberia Airport, and it may be our last. We arrived around 2:30 p.m. and were told our room wouldn’t be available until 3:00, so we were asked to return for our key. When we came back, the check-in line was extremely long and chaotic, so we waited longer, hoping it would improve. Unfortunately, when we returned again around 5:00, the line was even worse. We finally received our key at 5:30 and were offered a complimentary breakfast, which was appreciated.
I had a 6:30 reservation for outdoor seating at the restaurant. Although we were seated after a few minutes' wait, no one took our order for over 30 minutes, and service throughout dinner was minimal; the food was good once it arrived.
Overall, the hotel appears understaffed and could benefit from improvements to the electronic key system to avoid long waits. The highlight of our stay was the shuttle drive. He was very professional, punctual, and kind.

This is a terrible example of a Hilton property! There was no hot water in our room at all, when we tried to phone the front desk there was no answer at 8:30PM. When we tried calling Housekeeping to report the issue, there was no answer either. No hot shower before bed. Next morning, No Hot Water again. Went down and found a hotel employee at 6 AM and made them aware of the problems. No resolution before we had to leave for the airport at 6:30 - without showering. I told the person who checked us out about the issues and that I was completely unsatisfied with the stay and expected some form of compensation (per their 100% satisfaction guarantee) and nothing was offered or done. Terrible management, terrible customer care, poorly maintained property. And to make matters worse, the check in procedure is inefficient and takes up to an hour of waiting in line in the lobby. The only saving grace is the breakfast.
Room and bed were comfortable. Airport Shuttle was great.
The pool was freezing cold. The air conditioner was loud and noisy. The buffet breakfast was $28 too expensive for what menu offered. The cook who made 2 scrambled eggs for me she was not sanitary. She did not wash nor clean nor rinse the frypan and cooking utinsils very well. I had to ask this cook to dry the pan. And she did not dry her hands which in turn the water dripped off her hands onto my eggs while she cooked them. The eggs tasted like soap from the poorly rinsed pan. The cooks name was Deletta. I made a complaint to the hostess named Anna, who was very professional and said she was sorry. Then I also submitted my complaint to Emilio at the front deskwho had a poor attitude and could care less. The shampoo container was empty.
This has to be one of our worst hotel experiences ever:
- Over 40 minutes to check in with only 2 people in front of us.
- When we got to the room there was a water leak from pipes in bathroom sink. It then took over 20 calls to front desk for someone to pick up when trying to also deal with the leak.
- Restaurant service was very slow and the food was not good. We also asked for a dish without shrimp (which the server said was not problem to accommodate) but the dish arrived full of shrimp.
- In the morning there was no available hot water for a shower.

They couldn’t check me in till 4:30 . Said didn’t know when was going to be ready . I had to go to the desk for them to tell me the room was ready. Went to room and went in and there were already people in there .
