location was incredible, beautiful views
the rooms could be refreshed a little - they were a bit old with older facilities
It’s a hidden gem
Q-Station is my Go To place. Fabulous location and facilities.
Nice quiet location.
Having to leave our car at the office car park.
Although we knew that was the case it was more inconvenient then we expected.
The rooms were also very basic. I would not consider 4 star. More like 2 star.
The history
No toilet in my room
The boiler room restaurant is lovely, and cafe by water. Also reasonably priced stay. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Stayed in a heritage king room and it was very basic and looked very different to photos (no decor, very dark at the back of the building), no bath as pictured in booking.com photos.
You can’t bring your car into the property and you’ll need to use the shuttle bus, they come regularly but if it’s cold, raining or busy at check out it’s a bit of an inconvenience.
Airflow in room is limited, no window to keep open. It was very stuffy in winter. I can imagine it would be very hot in summer with no air con. Has ceiling fan and heater.
Location and history
The only staff members who stood out as friendly and welcoming were the older gentleman and the bus driver with the long blonde hair. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff appeared unfriendly, lacked enthusiasm, and did not make much effort to engage with guests, which detracted from the overall experience and made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming.
View, historic value, friendly staff.
The shuttle bus (worst ever experienced), meals, having to call to organise transport.
Fantastic location.
Location.
Lack of connectivity for phone charging, maybe usb ports for charging phones. Would be nice if shuttle bus pick up from Manly was maybe 10.00pm.
View
Cottage furniture was a bit poor
This accommodation has the potential to be amazing but inside it is run down and very ordinary.
We are embarrassed this is what they are presenting to tourists. We are locals, staying one night after our house sale. I love the position and paid almost $300 for a “suite” thinking it would be to this standard. How wrong we were. Old shabby carpet, bathroom old and ill kept. The 24hr shuttle service was unavailable when my husband had to leave at 6.30. He had to walk in the dark to the reception which was unattended!
All up, it was overpriced and in need of considerable renovation inside.
The staff extremely friendly and helpful, especially Pedro.
It was beautiful to view the city from another side and the facilities are just comfortable enough
We loved the location -- it is absolutely beautiful. The room was comfy and the views fabulous.
We also thought your shuttle bus service was excellent -- we caught it from our room to Manly and then back from Manly as well as using it once or twice while staying. We loved the walk to the restaurant and all the stairs at night -- were not as hard as we thought they might be ! The dim lights and the insect noises were delightful. And the quiet !
I thought it was unnecessary that a staff person gave us new towels (we hung up the towels every day) and new sheets every day when we were only staying 3 nights.
Lovely stay thank you
Beautiful views.
