Close (walking distance) to the Beach restaurants Pier and a short drive to Disneyland. Ambience nostalgic vibes. Bicycles surfboards beach chairs etc available.

The best stay I have ever had at any hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were super clean and everything seemed new, cool amenities like the outdoor lounge with fire pits. The location is perfect right across from the beach and a dog bakery. Dog beach nearby and incredibly accommodating with our dogs. They provided food and water bowls, toys and treats.

Extraordinary Staff, Service and cleanliness

Wow. The staff at this place is embarrassing.
They sealed the deal. I will never come back.
After booking my trip and paying in full online, when my family arrived they recharged us 1100 dollars. When we asked why, they said we hadn't paid. So we showed them the receipt and logged into the online banking and showed them we paid 100 percent upfront a week ago. Then it was
"oh the employee made a mistake. But rest assured you were refunded" its a week now with them holding my money.
We dealt with the managers after almost begging to speak a to them. They're never available and will almost always claim they re in meeting.
I would like my 1100 bucks back.

They are blaming my bank and I have verified with them multiple times. Not to mention I have used this bank 3 or 4 other times at this dump. Never had an issue. Give me my money back.

Beach Front. Right above HQ Gastropub when you need it. This is a beautiful modern and lively hotel and hotel experience. The rooms are immaculate and being close to the beach and the pier is always a plus main street is just around the corner and the beach is just across the street.

We checked into the Kimpton after a few days stay at the Fairmont in Long Beach. A completely different level of hotel and experience. But it should be noted our experience at the Fairmont was not nearly as stellar. First, let me say that the staff at the Kimpton is wonderful and the little fun touches make this property a solid winner. From the valet, to the front desk, to the restaurant and housekeeping staff we had exceptional service. The vibe was happy & fun. Warm cookies delivered to our room (thank you, Faith), nightly cocktail reception, games, s’more’s, beach equipment…..they have it all, in an ideal location. The restaurant and bar serve delicious and creative fare and our daily breakfast was a standout culinary experience. The only hicup was on the last morning when the shower drain was filling with water and a strong odor filled the room. We had a flight to catch and could not shower. A minor inconvenience but again the staff shined. Bradley at the front desk apologized and made a couple adjustments to our bill for the inconvenience. We didn’t have to ask, he was just happy to accommodate. This would be a great hotel for a family vacation!

Upon Check in….Jessica was very welcoming. She told me about all the wonderful perks the hotel has to offer. I had been upgraded via IHG to a King Studio….but asked if even a smaller room….would like some form of view. She Che led and saw something was available available. She treated me like she valued my IHG Platinum status.
Her professionalism in handling resolution to my humble request left a great impression. My stay was great in ways more than one.

This place has VERY friendly staffs. They've made our stay stress free. My room was up graded to a ocean view. My lovely niece and I had bounding time on the balcony. She's enjoying her private balcony with a cheese & ham Danish & a coke while dancing. It has different games and experiences for you to try or to enjoy them while you are here for work or leisure. I definitely will be back with my family to enjoy this peaceful place in CA.

Our server, Destini at breakfast was so chill and sweet! The food was really good, the room was great, the whole enchilada was great! 10/10 will be back again!

Such a great family getaway! We’re absolutely loving the Shorebreak and the laid-back California vibe, beautiful rooms, amazing service and the perfect location steps from the beach and Huntington Beach Pier. It really has that true Southern California feel. We’re already saying we can’t wait to come back!
