We had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton Shorebreak and everyone we encountered was incredibly kind and welcoming. We had asked about a possible room upgrade, and Bradley went above and beyond to help us with a truly beautiful upgrade for my birthday weekend :) From the moment we arrived he made us feel at home and genuinely honored as guests. His kindness, professionalism and care made our stay feel special rather than routine. Bradley is a standout, and the entire staff contributed to a memorable, comfortable experience. room was clean the bedding was amazing. We will absolutely stay her again.

Amazing Dinner Experience!!!
Pros:

Our dinner was extra special because Lauren was super attentive to our needs. The food was excellent as was her service.We are newlyweds and the manager Paul was kind and hospitable and helped us have a special evening as well! We will be back again and again. We have always liked The Shorebreak Restaurant, now we Love it!

I would happily stay there again on my next visit to Huntington Beach.
Pros:

Location, very comfortable beds, quiet rooms, unexpected amenities (S’more kits for the outdoor fire pits, loaner bicycles, and other fun touches), helpful staff.

Cons:

Curtains need to be cleaned. They are dusty at the top.

A trip filled with pleasant surprises!
Pros:

This was the first time I've ever stayed at a Kimpton! I've stayed at other IHG properties, but this was so different compared to those. Less corporate, more fun, and more relaxing. From the check in experience (shout out to Carly and Jordan!) to the checkout experience, I kept running into pleasant surprises! Like the free smores, the bikes, the location, even the gym! I can't wait to go back with my family and would highly recommend others to give this Kimpton a go! Looking forward to the next one!

Our Beach Hotel staycation!
Pros:

Super nice helpful staff members. Carly, Spencer and Jordan went overboard to make us feel at home and welcome. The hotel was clean and we kept saying to each other how good the place smelled. Our room was really nice and the decor was beachy and comfortable.i would definitely recommend to all my friends. Look for Carly. She is sweet and has a great attitude. She is an asset to the hotel! 5 stars!!!!!

The location was lovely - great proximity to the beach.

Cons:

My room was very noisy. It overlooked the courtyard so there was a lot of noise from the bar down below (I should have known because there was a white noise machine in the room and I should have asked to be moved to a different room). Then at 2:30am the fire alarm strobe light went off in my room (and apparently only my room). I got up got dressed and opened my door only to discover there was so emergency. The whole purpose of my stay was to get a good night’s sleep and I was not able to accomplish that. And the hotel did not offer me anything to accommodate this experience.

Could not get into room on-time due to room not clean. Hotel property very dirty, very disappointing especially at the beginning of the busy season. Had zero room service. I expect not to have to clean room, empty trash and hunt for clean towels. Stayed 5 days very disappointed.

My wife and I love the Shorebreak in Huntington Beach for romantic getaways and surf trips! The location at the pier, amazing beach vibes, cleanliness and service are top notch! Special shout out to Bradley who helped us at checkin this trip with great service and help getting us the best possible room for our stay!

Came out with my girlfriend for a one night stay and happens to lose my card I used to book the room. Carly was the receptionist that helped at check in and she was great! She was Very helpful and attentive.

We Keep Returning To This Hotel

The Shorebreak has been one of our all time favorite hotels for many reasons, the vibe of the hotel is very relaxed, fun and welcoming. We’ve stayed here 3-4 times in the past few years we enjoy it so much. The location is idealThe staff is also top notch across the board. Carly, not only checked us in upon arrival but took the time to get to know us a little and what we wanted to do during our stay. She had several recommendations for us that enhanced our stay. We love using the bikes and beach accessories.

Best Hotel Anywhere
Pros:

This is our favorite hotel - anywhere!! 4th time we stayed here. Great rooms, location, common areas, vibe, and incredible service. Best value in Huntington Beach. Carly at the front desk took care of us very well. Gave great recommendations. We will be back again.
