Amazing beachside hotel! The location is perfect and just steps from the beach 🌊 They provide free beach gear like chairs and umbrellas, complimentary bikes to explore the area, and even complimentary drinks. Great perks and a super relaxing stay. Would definitely come back! Arturo at front desk was great and super helpful showing us the amenities. Would recommend 10/10

WOW! Visit HB multiple times a year and religiously stay at Hy@tt. This time the company asked us to book elsewhere, and I knew the minute I walked in the Kimpton that I would NEVER stay anywhere else again! Although, while walking in the door hooked me, it was the experience and the people that will keep me going and made me a lifetime customer. As I walked into the Kimpton I was shocked with all the activity. Bikes and Scooters to rent, people playing ping-pong and air hockey, a filled bar/restaurant, families picking up the S'mores packets from the front desk for the fire pits. Not to mention the PERFECT location, right in the middle of it all. Just a short walk, a block down, to the pier, all the restaurants and shops, and the huge farmers market on Tuesday! Sure the other resort is nice, but in the end, your just getting the resort... this place is in the middle of it all and it was all walkable.
I was greeted right away with two of the most genuine and gracious people I have ever met – Arturo (Nav.) and Ana (Swa.)! I hope the two of you are able to read this. Your kindness brought me to tears! For that check in, and really the entire stay, I felt like a queen! How they managed to make a regular customer feel so important, like I mattered so greatly, is still mind blowing.. I couldn’t help but think that these two needed to teach customer service. Yes, they upgraded my room (not expected) and gave me a drink voucher while I waited for it to be serviced, but it was more than that. I felt like I made two new friends!! They I knew I was there for work, but my face must have read “please let me find some time to relax”. Halfway in my stay, I come back from dinner to find a bottle of wine, cookies, brownies, and a note – from Arturo and Ana. “Angela, we hope you’re relaxed and rested, as you deserve! Here are some treats to sweeten up your stay!! Ana / Arturo”. I wish so much that I could share every detail of this stay! I’ll just say that I have NEVER in my career had a “relaxing” work trip and thank you from the bottom of my heart to Ana, Arturo, Daniel – the AMAZING bartender, Josh (who came in on his day off), and Jackie, there rockstar manager for giving me this amazing gift! I cannot wait until next time! #Friends4Life

This Kimpton checked the boxes with location and hospitality. You cannot beat being across the street from Huntington Beach. I mean a stones throw away! It was so convenient to be at the beach within a few minutes of walking. And, though we had a mixup with my room upgrade after check-in (I inquired about an upgrade via phone a couple of days before arrival. As an IHG Diamond Ambassador, the hotel promised an oceanfront view.), the view was still great. It wasn’t oceanfront, but the side view of the beach with the huge balconey made up for it so I never brought up the mix up with the front desk. But, what blew me away was Bradley at the front desk! I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such hospitality before. He and housekeeping were so fast in delivering the extra luggage racks and room slippers that I requested to my room. Although they could not find room slippers initially, Bradley and Housekeeping were on the hunt for them and were determined to deliver them to me asap. Customer service at the hotel restaurant and parking valet were fantastic, too! The only issue at this Kimpton was the wear and tear to the bathroom and carpets. However, this hotel is at a prime location so I understand why there’s wear and tear.

Spent two wonderful days at this hotel with my three kids, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism. The front desk staff truly set the tone for our stay, Arturo was absolutely amazing, incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel instantly at home. He is a keeper!
Every interaction, whether at the front office or the restaurant, was pleasant and seamless. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable and enjoying our time. One of my favorite moments was seeing my youngest happily riding his scooter provided at the hotel, along the boardwalk, such a simple joy, but it made our stay even more special and family-friendly.
Another mention to Travis who was in charge of making my reservation and made me feel at home even before arriving.
We left with great memories and a deep appreciation for the outstanding service. This hotel made our short getaway feel truly special, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended for families!

Highly recommend. The hotel has a great SoCal beach vibe. The room is bright and clean. There’s an outdoor area with firepits with smores in the evening, bikes to cruise along the beach path, and complimentary coffee and tea every morning. Great views of the beach and pier from the beach front balcony. Room service was good. Walking distance to many local bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Would definitely return.

The vibe in the style was absolutely the best we’ve ever seen. It was beautiful. It was interesting but very relaxed and beachy all at the same time. Super cool place! We will definitely be back to enjoy the whole hotel. We went for a business event and didn’t have much time to enjoy the property because we were pretty hung over the next day lol!

The outside space is lovely, great restaurant, complementary bikes, wine and beer happy hour. It’s a wonderful stay!

The staff is incredible, especially Jordan and Bradley. They helped me surprise my wife with a room that had a tub. They also hooked us up with a goodie basket of wine, cookies, brownies, etc for our 3 year anniversary. Incredible experience, thank you again for being a great host.

Whenever we go to Huntington Beach, the Kimpton Shorebreak is the only place! We stay! Our most recent stay was to celebrate our 37th year anniversary. And as usual, the Shorebreak was amazing. The staff is always so kind and attentive. They even sent some goodies and a bottle of wine to our room, along with a card, for our anniversary. We love the hotel amenities, especially the s'mores at the end of the day! The make any occasion a very special one! Special thanks to Ana and Spencer, you made our anniversary memorable! Can’t wait to see you all again!!
