The outside space is lovely, great restaurant, complementary bikes, wine and beer happy hour. It’s a wonderful stay!

I love the fact that you could check out bikes records, and scooters. I loved the 5-6pm social hour. I loved how clean everything was and the staff were amazing!

I celebrated my birthday at Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort and the experience was truly special. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional and the entire team made me feel welcomed and celebrated.

A huge thank you to Jackson, Arturo, and Spencer for going above and beyond. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made my birthday feel memorable in the best way. It’s rare to come across a team that cares this much about the guest experience, and they absolutely delivered.

The location near the beach, the vibe of the hotel, and the outstanding service made this the perfect place to celebrate. I left feeling appreciated and already looking forward to returning.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place that combines great atmosphere with incredible service.

Great location so close to the beach and All of the local eateries!! Clean rooms with a balcony. Nice retro type vibes at the Boutique Hotel. Record players and old time sounds are some of the artifacts! A dog lovers paradise! The 4 legged pets are treated just as well as the human guests!! lol! Although I’m not a dog “lover” I did admire the care and concern of the staff and guests that had their pets .

Booked through a third party, when we arrived we had a king bedroom and needed 2 queens. Jordan at the front desk took care of us and made the switch into an upgraded room simple and easy. Making a stressful travel day turn into an inviting no hassle check in. Thank you Jordan.

Ms. Anna Beachner supremely deserves to be recognized for her outstanding customer service, superb communication skills and overall top-notch service during my recent visit to your beautiful property, Kimpton Shorebreak Resort in Huntington Beach.

She went well above and beyond to ensure that we were shown the right amount of attention, loyalty recognition, and most importantly how Ms. Anna ensured that my wife's birthday was recognized as well. She provided numerous opportunities to the amenities at your resort, kept us up-to-date with the room key issues, and further went above and beyond by her personal actions to ensure that my wife's needs were met.

We just got home. We travel worldwide and as always this hotel is our favorite anywhere. The location is great right across the street from the beach and pier. The hotel has a great vibe and open air floor plan. So many little touches like coolers in room to take to the beach. Every thing from boogie boards to bikes available for the asking. It is so lovely to be back at my favorite Kimpton property in the United States! This boutique hotel makes you feel right at home, and the staff is like a family. Right across from the beach, near the pier, and tucked away just enough to feel cozy. Everyone was awesome, as always, but a special shout out to Jessica at the front desk. Congrats Shorebreak Huntingon on winning best Kimpton property! Much deserved.

My husband and I were stuck in LA for a few extra days due to flight cancellations. We decided to stay at the Kimpton, and after seeing the property, didn’t want to leave! The hotel had a really unique vibe with great amenities including infused water, coffee/tea in the morning, and a beautiful courtyard. The king suite was a great set-up for working, and the location across from the pier/beach was perfect. Bradley at reception made us feel welcome and well cared for. Highly recommend!

I made my reservations directly at the hotel through Jordan at the front desk. She was very welcoming and genuinely cared about my stay and helping me to have a very positive experience with my dog. This is an updated review after we’ve had a couple more stays here as a family. The vibe is fantastic and the hotel has an incredibly friendly, tenured staff. The location is fantastic and the hotel is very much a reflection of the community that it resides in, this is uncanny, and very rare!
And I have now been corrected by my sister, the record players in the rooms actually work! They are not “nonsensical” decorations that take up space” as I had previously mentioned on an older review that I have now deleted, my bad! The water pressure isn’t great in the showers, but so be it. They blame this on “California code”, but I’ve stayed at dozens of other hotels within California with no issue. But that said, it’s not a dealbreaker. You can’t go wrong booking here if you want to stay in Huntington Beach. They have free afternoon beer and wine etc. - who else does that?! They also are very pet friendly. I apologize for the review that I did a year and a half ago; it was not thoughtful. I’m grateful for this neighborhood hotel and I highly recommend it.

All the staff at Kimpton Shorebreak were top notch but Ana and Jordan set the stage and were more than accommodating and helpful, thanks so much ladies you two made our stay memorable and hope to visit again!

From the moment we walked in and had an encounter with Anna at the front desk- the experience just kept getting better and better. The availability of room options, the amenities, the dining experiences. I would return here over and over again over the local competition. The hospitality and accommodations are off the chain! Not to mention the ocean view room. 😍😍😍

This place is built for hanging out! ping pong, games, and social vibes with happy hours running all day. The staff is awesome, the restaurant and bar are solid, and you’re right next to all the action. I stayed in a studio suite and the room was super clean with a soaking tub and a Dyson hair dryer, which was a nice upgrade from the usual hotel setup. Easily the best IHG hotel I’ve ever stayed at and an easy yes for a return trip.

I am a manager of high end vacation rentals. Service here is exceptional. Shout out to Bradley, Jordan and Kell. They really took care of us and our special needs dog. Hotel is pricey. There are alot of additional taxes and costs but worth it. An exceptional experience! Location is perfect too!
