Axel Hotel Berlin - Adults Only

I truly enjoyed the thoughtfulness of the hotel staff, in particular Kevin and Santiago who were always down to entertain my thoughts on what to do next when it came down to exploring Berlin and the surrounding LGBTQI+ scene. Furthermore, the staff were very considerate if something was not up to standard to attend to the situation immediately.

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und bietet eine sehr gute Anbindung. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung befinden sich zahlreiche Restaurants, Supermärkte und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel.

Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal. Der Check-in verlief problemlos und das Team war sehr bemüht und engagiert. Man merkt, dass sich das Personal wirklich darum bemüht, das Hotel wieder zu einem besseren und angenehmeren Ort für die Gäste zu machen.

Great Location and Atmosphere, but a Few Improvements Needed

Overall, we had a really good stay and enjoyed our trip to Berlin.

The hotel is perfectly situated, with the train station only a short walk away and plenty of bars, restaurants and places to visit nearby. The rooms were great, we enjoyed the overall vibe of the hotel, and generally felt it offered good value for money.

We were disappointed to find out only a few days before our stay that the Jacuzzi area was out of use, as this was something we had been looking forward to.

One of the main issues we experienced was the air-conditioning regularly pumping a strong smell of cigarette smoke into our room. At times it was quite unpleasant and left us both with sore throats, so this is definitely something the hotel needs to investigate.

The continental breakfast could also do with some significant improvement, particularly in terms of choice and overall quality.

That said, the hotel has a good atmosphere, great location and enjoyable vibe, and overall we had a very good stay. With a few improvements, particularly to the ventilation and breakfast, it could be an excellent hotel.

I stayed at the Axel Hotel again after a few years, and the experience fell well short of expectations. The room I was assigned—a suite—had issues with the window fixtures, which wouldn't close properly; at night, it sounded like being right next to a highway. The shower door didn't seal well, causing water to leak out into the bathroom. Overall, the furnishings look worn and tired.
There are hardly any common areas, and the restaurant is under separate management.
The prices are good and the staff is very friendly, but there are much better options in Berlin. I won't be coming back.

The room big and prefect location if you like to stay at gay area,lot local bar and restaurant around also near train station which is pretty easy.
Definitely gay friendly hotel!

Sauber und große, weichen Handtücher.
Es ist toll zu sehen und zu spüren, dass sich das neue Management weiterhin bemüht alles zu erneuern! :)
