The bar and restaurant area nice and cosy
We upgraded our room we thought we were going to have French doors leafing out to terrace from our room we didn’t the room was small the bed uncomfortable
Location was perfect with a view across the bay. The breakfast was cooked fresh and was delicious.
My only problem was I was on the 3rd floor and overnight I aged to 80 so ideally the lift would have been very helpful 🙃.
All went well: large room (we had the extra large), lovely breakfast and diner, extremely kind personel, view at the sea and the bay, there was nothing that bothered us, all was perfect and how it should be. Will come back for sure!

The room with the sea view was lovely (Room No. 19)
There was quite a draft coming from the windows in the the room and very cold. The room above who was in there was walking around in the early hours and the floor boards were very noisy. But apart from that it was a very nice room and bathroom.

Room was VERY small. View made up for that but perhaps slightly different furnishing would have been helpful for storing small things
Too many cushions
The Staff were so helpful and the room I had a was double with a beautiful view over the Viking bay and was able to get out on the terrace to watch the sunrise. Just stunning location, the Breaky room overlook the bay and staff serving breakfast make a fab coffee and poached eggs!
I had a lovely two-night stay at the Royal Albion Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciated the kind gesture of upgrading my room to one with a beautiful sea view. The traditional English breakfast was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and I would happily stay here again!
Just what we wanted

We have stayed in this hotel before and found the staff as helpful as before. The waiter I/c breakfast was particularly helpful and patient with all customers.the ambience of the hotel is of a friendly community meeting place and it has spacious places in which to sit and enjoy a light snack or a meal. My bedside lamp was not working but when we returned after a meal out a member of the staff had inserted a new bulb. Thank you for such efficiency.
It was great to each have a comfortable chair in which to sit..
We were allocated the same room as last time we stayed ( Jan 2025) with the same cracked washbasin. Some of the furniture looked tired and the carpet was stained in a couple of places.
The duvet on the queen sized bed was exceptional heavy so frequently we woke to rearrange it and this affected our sleep.
The banisters on the stairs up to our room felt greasy and sticky.

Original attractive staircase negotiated with great care by elderly gentleman (77) in the absence of a lift.

Whole stay was lovely, breakfast really good. Rooms were clean.
I didn’t notice any WiFi. The room was really stuffy even though there was a fan. Unfortunately we were in room 24 at the front and the noise from early hours of the morning was awful. I would definitely stay here again, but ask for a room at the other aide of hotel which I presume are sea views.
Amazing location, great ocean view rooms and terrance, nice and helpful staff!
No lifts was challenging, the sash windows were not all perfectly functional.
Seaview was amazing and outside areas made it special. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice.
Room overpriced for the size,
Loved the character of the hotel & the lovely rooms. Also a great location on the seafront & close to restaurants & shops.
