Everything was lovely except for the bad noise penetration.
Pros:

Food was very good. Service especially from Thomas and Clarissa was excellent. Location was perfect for us. Old world charm of the bar area.

Cons:

Sound insulation was terrible. A lot of noise from immediately overhead: creaking floors, thumping feet and every bathroom noise! This did disturb our sleep. Noise penetration through the window as well.

Pros:

Lovely old pub just 30 mins from Le Shuttle so location was great and parking in the car park opposite convenient. We booked a room with a superking bed which was very comfortable.

Cons:

We stayed in room 3 on the ground floor, and the insulation/ floorboard noise from the room above wasn't good, so we were woken by this a couple of times.
