Lovely hotel, fabulous views, superb beds. Excellent situation for any visitors, being just by the jetty for boat trips.
The pool was warm, steam and Turkish room and ice room by the pool was a great place to relax at the end of a walking day! I didn't partake in any of the spa treatments available but there are many.
The room was large (twin room) and included towelling robes to use, and there was no noise from outside in the corridor.
The staff were outstanding, with Nick and JC being very helpful, and Tommy going above and beyond to make our stay special and unforgettable! Thank you
Great location, food very good
Service in restaurant poor
This is my 2nd time staying, me and my partner have made it a yearly thing that we spend our anniversary here, today we arrived early, got chatting to a member of staff behind the desk, told him we had just been and booked our wedding, our room wasn’t ready so we popped away for some food, came back and our room was ready, we went up to our room and it was a bigger room than the one we had last year, we where happy! Then there was a knock at the door, the member of staff who dealt with us at the desk had came up with a bottle of Prosecco and Ice! I couldn’t believe it, best thing is my partner is pregnant so she can’t didn’t want a glass, so the whole bottle is for me! Bonus! 🤣 I didn’t catch the guys name but he had an Irish accent & he was new to the area.. people like him is what makes someone like me write a review! Excellent service since the moment I walked through the door.
This is the reason why me and my partner had came to an agreement where we spend our anniversary here, getting our treatments done at the spa and to stay here over night.
Thank you
Breakfast was excellent, location is superb, with excellent views of lake Windermere and within easy reach of nearby attractions, staff where very helpful.
The check in time is 4.00 pm, which is quite late considering you have to leave by 11.00 am, there are extra charges on some breakfast items of £5, ie eggs Benedict, smoked salmon are an extra £5, which is quite steep considering we paid £500 for 2 nights stay, also the car park offered is £25 per night by the hotel, there was no spaces left, but I already paid £21 for 3 days in the local pay and display car park, nearby, much better value.
Lovely rooms nice and spacious staff very helpful perfect location
Breakfast is awful and rip off
Well I have to say what a surprise. A lovely room. Great staff nice spar with robes in your room. Lovely food, who could ask for more
Just had an excellent weekend break, evening meal was lovely, as was the breakfast. Spa and pool very nice. Staff were all very professional and attentive. Will return again.
Lovely hotel right on the shore of Windermere in Bowness, and 5 mins from all the restaurants and shops. So warm in all the areas. It's a big hotel so could easily be chilly. Rooms were big, well equipped and the beds SO comfortable!
The hotel spa and pool were again, perfect. A big pool, at a lovely temperature, sauna, steam rooms and of course treatments available.
We were 6 ladies over from the IOM celebrating a Big Birthday, and just staying 3 nights B&B. The breakfasts were brilliant, and plenty of it! The staff were just the best. So friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Especially Tommy, Nick and JC. Thank you boys, you were fab!
Definitely recommend this hotel!
Lovely hotel, staff absolutely amazing, friendly helpful and kind, nothing was too much of an issue. The breakfast was lovely and relaxing, and the room was stunning, upgraded to a balcony room. The spa had a pool, sauna stream room and an ice shower, we didn’t book any treatments, however the pool was quiet and not busy. The only thing that was missing was that there was no hairdryer in the room, however the changing rooms in the spa had a few, and our room was close to it, so wasn’t an issue for us, however may be for anyone who isn’t staying on the first floor. Parking was £25 a day, so we found another parking place that was a 5/10 minute walk from a hotel which was £18/£19 for 3 days (opposite the Quayside Bowness which I would recommend)
Don’t agree with negative reviews listed for this hotel. The staff were some of the friendliest people and were always happy to help. They were very sweet congratulating our engagement. We really enjoyed service provided by Ahmed, such a lovely welcome to the hotel and always so polite whenever he saw us.
Food was above what we were expecting for a set menu - it was exquisite!
5 star service.
Gave 4 star overall as the hotel, does need some refurbishments.
The £25 parking is disgusting for residents. Room was lovely. Spa was good, steam was not up to scratch, cold pockets. Dinner was amazing. Staff were the best. Breakfast, juice was diabolical. No decent fruit. Tinned peaches?.
