Amazing location, clean spacious room. Room had a beautiful view
Bedroom was unbelievably hot and had no control. Breakfast was basic at best which was disappointing. No fresh fruit other than watermelon, no choice of milks or yoghurts and only two gluten free options of cereal, no baked goods or sausages or hash browns. I asked for a vegetarian breakfast and was given two pork sausages as they were gluten free, my husbands scrambled eggs were riddled with shell and not small pieces. £25 a day for car parking when it’s a basic parking lot was a joke and check in at 4 pm seems quite late compared to anywhere else I’ve stayed
Location was perfect ..
Room was decent size..
£25 per night to park on the hotel car park...
Pool was cold..
The hotel was always warm and the water too. Great temperatures
All was fine
The location of this hotel was beautiful, right on the lakeside in the centre of Bowness.
Whilst the hotel was clean, it was definitely dated in areas and we felt that we were really paying for the location alone. Mattress was very soft, so a bit uncomfortable for us personally.
It was very disappointing to find additional costs such as £25 per night for the carpark, which was really just an old, random concrete space with a barrier, and then to find at breakfast, that everything except a full English breakfast was also charged a £5 supplement?? How can you justify l charging an additional £5 for poached eggs and avocado on toast when we've already paid the bed and breakfast rate?
Fantastic room with possibly the best view ever...one huge lakeside view
The weather
Great facilities
Nothing
Every one was very friendly. Very comfortable lounge area. Bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. We were very well looked after.
The room was very comfortable and the view of the lake amazing
Nothing
The room was gorgeous. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast view was beautiful.
The fee for parking when staying as a guest is extortionate.
Nice breakfast and staff were always polite and professional
The standard double rooms are right next door to another property with a very loud, and unpleasant late bar (3am).
The rooms only have single pane windows and you are lucky to get more than three hours sleep.
Hotel seriously needs to upgrade its sound proofing for the cheaper rooms (still £189 per night)
Great location, staff were pleasant
Felt very dated and in need of new carpets and more luxuries for the price, such as shampoo, face cloth and moisturiser in bathroom, more choice at breakfast buffet area.
The swimming pool was freezing cold, steam room out of order and floor around pool area was dirty.
Nothing wrong with the property and unfortunate electrical power cut didn’t cause much hindrance and the staff dealt with as best they could.
