We were supposed to stay at the Baymont. They closed at beginning of Oct and rerouted us to the Ramada across the street. We were not happy with the Ramada. The staff was great though. Staff was very knowledgeable about surrounding rea and things to do. They too closed on our last day of travel. We would have much preferred the Baymont. Would not do the Ramada again.
Rerouted from the Baymont to the Ramada due to Baymont closing for season Oct 1. . Ramada was outdated and showing its age. Furniture was old, room was dingy and very tight. No breakfast, and limited maid service due to them closing for season the day we left. Would not stay at Ramada again would have much preferred the Baymont.
Breakfast was good and staff was helpful.
Cleaning or updating facilities. Carpet looked old/dirty. Ice makers need fixed.
The hotel is located on top of a hill, which offers a decent view, but the access to and from it is quite inconvenient and potentially unsafe. The only way to get out of the hotel is by walking up and down a long steep driveway. Be prepared for the long hike up. Once you’re down at street level, there’s no designated crosswalk or sidewalk space. There’s only about a foot of clearance between you and oncoming traffic, which feels very unsafe—especially if you're traveling with children.
To get to nearby shops and restaurants, you’re essentially forced to run across a busy street to reach the other side, where there’s a parking lot that provides a safer path. This setup really takes away from the convenience and comfort of the hotel’s location. It would be much better if there were a safer pedestrian path or crossing option available.
The front desk clerk did his best to address issues. Our second room was somewhat of an improvement on the first.
Our first room was so slanted i could put a bottle on the floor and it rolled across the the floor. The handicapped parking slot outside the door was on a 30 degree slope. I requested to talk to management to address the issue but was ignored.
Staff was extremely nice.
The breakfast food was gone with an hour to go.
The room was not very clean or very nice for the price we paid.
Location and breakfast.
Room didnot have phone. Shower cutain too short water spill on the floor. Bathroom is very small for tall people and chubby people
Room was very large and was right near the exit to the parking lot. Very convenient. The room had everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
the mroning breakfast was very hectic the first day. It was a feeding frenzy and they ran out of some food
I liked the location and the view, looking down over the city. I also liked how you could see Mount Rushmore at night lit up.
It wasn’t very clean in the public areas like the elevators, the stairways, ice machines, etc.
It could use some updating like fresh paint a new carpeting updating the bathrooms and things like that. The rooms are very small too . The helicopter ride got a little bit annoying after the first day flying over the hotel, constantly all day long every hour.
No hot water in my room
Breakfast was always good and plenty to go around
When asked for extra towles and trash to go out they had no problems
Always friendly
Smile more
Nothing
No toilet paper and cleaning
The location was pretty much the best of this hotel
The room was not very clean and the eating are was filthy
The location was great, we could walk downtown without paying for parking! Our original bunk bed rooms were upgrade to double queens, which was a much better fit for our family. The kids loved the pool and hot tub!
Our original room was way too small for 4 people, but thankfully they upgraded us with no charge! The breakfast set up was hectic and had the same foods every day, which we got sick of.
The view was beautiful! I loved being able to have a balcony view. Not needing room service everyday was also nice.
Ummm ran out of yogurt for breakfast. A little warmer pool and less chemicals in the hot tub.
Facilities could have been cleaner
Clean room, pool open
Breakfast was always running out, but they were trying. Also rooms are very small tight quarters
Horrible! Powdered eggs & sausage looked like it has growths on it…you could tell quality is not a priority for anything at this facility
The way handicap guests are valued is not an option…why would you purposely place handicap parking & rooms at the very back of the hotel on an INCLINE? Getting out of a car on an inclined surface is totally stupid & u r setting yoursrlf up for a lawsuit. Placing handicapped rooms towards the back of the facility also speaks volumes that u want these type of guests unseen & unheard from. As for the room…u go try to get a wheelchair in room 168 & try to maneuver in it!
