Wonderful and emotional probable last visit to my old home town to say goodbye to Mum.
Pros:

Excellent comfort, spacious rooms, courteous and friendly staff, clean. great food wonderful location.

Cons:

Not a crtitism of the hotel or staff but the building is very old and there is no lift. I struggle with stairs and there are a lot of them but the struggle is worth it. However, not a hotel for people who cannot do stairs at all althogh staff are very willing to assist with carrying luggage etc for you if needed.

Disappointing this year
Pros:

I have stayed here before and love the room. I love the proportions and the decor. I especially love the view.

Cons:

Unfortunately on this occasion the room was very cold and the radiators were only lukewarm at best. Likewise with the water when we ran a bath and shower.

staff talking very loudly about personal stuff very near are table dont want to hear all this first thing in the morning when you just want a quite breakfast.

Location is excellent, in house restaurant and bar. Very clean, warm and cosy.

Cons:

Only has a lift to the first floor, and unfortunately our room was on the 3rd floor.

It was a great location and the staff were really lovely.
Pros:

Location was perfect and the breakfast delicious

Cons:

The room was a little dated and the bathroom a little grubby. You can hear everything inside (other guests) and outside (bin collections & cars)

Great weekend out in deal with great restaurants but hotel was a huge let down for the price we paid
Pros:

Breakfast was lovely location was great

Cons:

Over priced as could have booked a better room for less!
Did not sleep at all as hotel lights stayed on all night outside and shone through the windows lighting up our room. Poor condition inside the hotel not worth the money we paid very disappointing toilet lent to one side making you almost fall off see pictures
