Will be looking for an alternative hotel for work next trip
Pros:

Ibis Bencoolen used to be a great hotel for professionals but my recent stay there were a lot of kids and family and hence had to deal with fighting the elevators and breakfast with big families and kids

Cons:

Not sure what has changed but the breakfast spread has also lost its wuality

Durian/Sewer smell. Telephone smells.
Pros:

Location! Location! Location!

Cons:

The hallway and room smells like DURIAN for the whole duration of our stay and we don’t eat durian. The room telephone reeks of sweat and has a terrible smell. The breakfast buffet not too many options just basics dressed with little side dish of sauces and stuff. Room a bit cramped. The drain right next to the toilet bowl smells like sewer sometimes.
