Room with a patio good, access to the beach great, dishes, bed, towels all very good
very run down facility, smelly room and smelly bar area
Lovely! Beautiful, pleasant, and *so relaxing*. Everything is so easy and accessible. Walk right out to the pool, the restaurants, the car, even the local pizza place. Short, scenic stroll through the dunes to the ocean. Continental breakfast delivered to your door each morning. Couldn't have been nicer, and I can't think of anywhere in Vero Beach that compares.
All excellent
Larger table to eat breakfast on
Balcony off the pool was secluded just enough that felt private. I was there in off season so not a lot of people at the pool.
Restaurant was way over priced and food was not that great.
Near where we wanted to be.
No breakfast. No elevators. Obsolete decorations. OLD furnishings. Confusing property layout. Cramped room.
The room was very nice comfortable for a couple of days.
Advice us that there was no dinning or entertainment.I
I was overcharged for my room! I called the hotel specifically about an Expedia rate of $133.00. I left a voice message. EIGHT HOURS later I received a call from Amy. She overcharged me with a rate of $166.00. She said the restaurant would be closed on Sunday night (arrival night). She did NOT tell me there would be NO breakfast on Monday morning. Nothing! Not even coffee!
The room was shabby, dated, dark, and drab. I was NOT told that I was getting a handicapped room when booking on the phone with Amy.
The shower soaked the entire bathroom floor.
The coffee maker in the room did NOT work. We could not have coffee at all. The hotel charges for coffee pods (see photo) after the first 2 complimentary pods. We had none!
The kitchenette is old and needs serious updating. Utensils and sharp knives are stored in a glass and dishes exposed above the sink.
The dark & dreary room was musty with a loud A/C unit. It reminded me of a road side motel room in the late ‘70’s/early ‘80’s.
The furniture looked like flea-market finds with stains. (See photos!)
The cheap bathroom faucet handle fell off. My husband had to fix it.
The mute button on the remote did not work.
There was no one in the office when we arrived on Sunday at 7pm. Any told me on the phone she would be in the office until 8pm. There was no one in the office on Monday morning.
I addressed these issues with Amy in a text. She dismissed them, offered no resolution, did not acknowledge the Expedia rate I specifically mentioned when I initially contacted the hotel (motel).
Her text answer was: “The coffee maker works fine.” (It did not work!) And she said, “Guests use the shower everyday.” She sidestepped these two issues and never acknowledged the other issues and never brought up the overcharge. She never called me, only texted.
When I asked for the owner’s name, she never responded. She’s unprofessional.
Our room was a dump!
No bedskirt
Chipped lamp
Stained dresser
Filthy luggage stand
Dim lighting in room & bathroom
A toaster oven stacked on top of a microwave
A used bottle of dish soap more than half empty
A garish yellow, cheap blanket on the bed
This hotel has an incredible charm, thanks to its lush vegetation and tasteful furniture and décor — it really feels like staying in a beautiful Portuguese colonial house. Our room was spacious, elegant, and perfectly clean. The property is extremely peaceful, and the pool was wonderful to relax by.
The wild beach nearby is absolutely stunning and easily reached on foot, and the hotel provides beach equipment, which was a great bonus. Overall, the value for money is excellent — we truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.
Nothing
Unique boutique hotel with lots of charming touches. Friendly staff with welcome tour.
We wish we had a longer stay!
Although this hotel had beautiful botanical surroundings, a lovely pool and the beach proximity across the street is ideal, the poor customer service and the offensive room odor could not offset the pluses.
It’s important to note that there’s absolutely no early check-in, which is fine but there’s nobody even in the office until right at 3 o’clock. We had a very cursory introduction to the Hotel grounds that lasted about 3 minutes. We were not informed that the complementary breakfast could be anywhere from 8 to 9 o’clock and missed it the next morning.
First and foremost, for those who are sensitive to any kind of odors when you walk into the room, there is a very strong smell of masking perfumed Room deodorizer. This is typical in Florida hotels due to the high humidity and especially when there is a carpet, but this was overwhelming. It hits you like a wall. You cannot open the windows either to air it out. In our particular suite, one was jammed/locked shut, which is a huge fire hazard. The other window we didn’t even check because the screen was missing. Please refer to the picture to see the “pool view“ which was obstructed by a tree, so there really was no view.
Secondly, we were locked out of our room on our only full day staying there. The key card no longer worked when we got back from a morning hike. Although the office remains open, there is no one tending it. We called and left messages, but no one called or texted us back. Eventually, we found a maid who opened our room, but then we could not leave until our card was re-keyed or otherwise we would once again, lock ourselves out. We were told we would have to wait until 3 o’clock when check in time was. Then they would re-key our card. This is not the 24/7 office hours advertised. We had to wait around nearly 2 hours for someone to arrive at the office to re-key our card. I mentioned getting a second card, but it fell on deaf ears. No explanation, no apology was forthcoming when we arrived at 3 o’clock to have the card re-keyed.
We were unable to watch Netflix, which is not really a big deal, however when I mentioned it to the office staff they stated “oh yes, we’re having trouble getting online” as well. No explanation, no apology, no resolution offered. Customer service does not seem to be a high priority on their list.
When our complementary breakfast was not delivered the morning of our stay, I called the number to the hotel after 8:30 AM. A groggy woman answered the phone with “hello“. When I asked if I’d reached the Caribbean Court number she said “no”. When I apologized for ringing the wrong number she stated “oh, wait a minute, what do you need”? Very strange. Again, customer service lacking big time.
Our particular suite looked tired and worn. The carpet needed replacing and such things as the stained lampshade (see picture) and general wear and tear on the room was evident.
All in all, would not stay here again.
We loved our room with a private patio. Very clean and with a feeling of actually being on a Caribbean getaway. We also loved the piano bar and the dinner. That was two hours of pure enjoyment and it was a treat that the lady playing the piano came by our table to speak with us. Very personable. And during check-in, we had a very nice discussion at check-in way above and beyond the usual instructions and niceties about staying there. The bonus for us was taking the beautiful short walk to the beach and riding the provided bicycles in the neighborhood. A real gem of a stay!
Place with good vibes and friendly people.
Great vibes / staff / landscaping / location / etc

Pleasant welcoming stay enhanced by fresh smiling faces in the hotel, the bar, the lounge, and the restaurant. The venue is ensconced in tropical greenery making it feel like a refuge, a haven, a getaway. Service is impeccable.
Everything was great
We stayed for two nights. The rooms were clean and quiet, although a bit small. The bed was comfortable. Parking was convenient, and several great places to eat were just a short walk away.
Upon checking in, we were informed by the manager that we did not qualify for the free breakfast because we had booked through a travel service, not the hotel website. There is no elevator, so we carried our bags upstairs ourselves. The “free” beach equipment consists of ripped, stained and rusted chairs complete with umbrellas that are missing parts that you don’t realize you need until you have made the long trek down to the beach. All in all, we did not find the “boutique “ experience we expected from their website description.
