By far my favorite hotel in the DC/VA/MD area. This place is an absolute gem! From the complimentary and exquisite La Vache Creamory caramels to the gift snack bag and rock candy provided on subsequent days. Every day provided for a new and wonderful surprise. Front desk and support staff were uber professional! And finally, the AKB hotel bar which sits adjacent to the property. It's a cozy, intimate, and classy space to have a drink alone or when gathering with friends for tasty libations. Do make sure you order the Virginia BBQ chicken pizza. So flavorful that you'll want to eat the entire thing by yourself. 😊 Should I ever return to the area for business or pleasure, this hotel will be my one AND only choice! Well done indeed!
We had such an enjoyable stay at Archer Hotel. The location was great with so many walkable restaurants, shops, and easy Metro access. The staff was kind and always looking to go the extra mile. The room was spacious with several nice little touches like locally sourced caramels, slippers and robes, etc. This was the perfect spot to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. We also really enjoyed the attached restaurant for breakfast and the bar for happy hour drinks. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
The shower and pillows
We went for a girl's trip to celebrate my birthday, We had an awesome time. Everyone at the hotel was great. Abby went above and beyond. She even changed our room so we could have a better view. I will stay there again.
Boutique hotels are the best, they even had record players in the library..quiet and smack in the middle of Old Town. Very satisfied and will come again.
Price for Parking. The area is short in places to park, It adds up at 40 a night with a long stay.
Very nice staff, good room and location.
The elevator had a terrible smell
Great location in the heart of old town. Quaint place, super cute. Lots of Eats around and super clean. I enjoyed my stay, and will continue to come stay when visiting my hometown.
We had the most wonderful stay at The Archer in November celebrating our Anniversary. Everything from the beautiful room, to the extra amenities like cozy robes and slippers, to the extremely attentive staff was just perfection. We both agreed it's in our top 3 favorites stays, they have somehow created the the perfect balance charm and service we love in a top tier bed and breakfast with the luxury and convenience of very nice hotel. We absolutely loved our room with its beautiful tub and sweeping views from the bedroom and balcony but really any room would be great here. The courtyard is beautiful, the room off the lobby full of books was so cozy and during our stay they had set up a delicious cocoa and cider bar. We loved being able to take ours to go and walking the cute streets of old town with them. When we came back one of the receptionists asked about our room, and I mentioned the beautiful tub and she had a bath bomb delivered to the room! I really can't think of a way to improve this place. We are not Locals but would absolutely make the trip back to the area just to stay here again and enjoy The Archer and its great location! Thank you Isabelle and the other wonderful staff that made our stay so great!
Liked the cleanliness, beds, location, homegrown restaurant
Being on the front (King Street), the tub/shower combo since I have osteoarthritis (requested a walk-in shower) and the outrageous prices of the spa
Great location, very clean, large rooms, loved homegrown, value was okay (priced higher for new years), on site bar with a few food choices, wished it would’ve been explained that certain rooms had walk-in showers instead of the tub/shower combo. The spa prices were ridiculous.
A lovely, romantic inn. We stayed for New Year’s Eve and enjoyed the short walk to the waterfront. The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the metro, which made for a convenient trip. We loved the restaurant and bar, as well as the toffees awaiting us in our room. Very warm and welcoming!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel had many little amenities such as the hot cocoa and cookies station and handy makeup mirrors, etc. that you expect in a luxury hotel but was reasonably priced. It is in an excellent location where you can walk to many shops and restaurants. The staff was without exception exceedingly polite and eager to help. The restaurant attached to the hotel had very good luckily sourced options for breakfast.
This hotel is in a convenient location, it is clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is convenient for traveling via train/metro. We enjoyed dinner and brunch at the two different attached restaurants. Do NOT miss breakfast/brunch—it was delicious! There is a lovely lounge area in the lobby, which was comfortable as we waited out a train delay. Our room was next to the elevator, but we did not hear it or people/voices entering or exiting the elevator. I appreciated the size of the bathroom counter space and shower. I had requested feather free bedding due to allergies and this was taken care of prior to our arrival (I received a prompt response via email and this request was acknowledged at check in, which was much appreciated). The only reason I rated four rather than five was due to an experience regarding an error on my invoice. However, this issue was resolved promptly and I received a call and follow up email after it was brought to a manager’s attention.
I had a wonderful time for my birthday. I will be back! The food, the staff, the location, the vibes, the valet, everything was wonderful!
