Formal Complaint Regarding My Stay
I would like to formally express my disappointment with the service I received during my stay.
Upon arrival, I was simply handed a room key and expected to find my room on my own. No one escorted me to my room or offered any assistance with my luggage.
While I was having a meal with my son, a staff member approached me and informed me that my room was being changed, without providing any explanation. I had to ask to speak to the manager to understand what was happening.
When I returned to my room, I discovered they had already moved the beds ect before I had the opportunity to go back or give permission to enter the room after they have me the room card .I found this completely unacceptable and a serious invasion of my privacy.
The replacement room was an interleading room with a connecting door to the next room. Throughout the night, the guests next door were talking loudly and partying, making it impossible for me to sleep.
Overall, the lack of communication, poor service, and disregard for my comfort made this a very disappointing experience. I expected a much higher standard of hospitality and would appreciate a response regarding how these issues will be addressed and I feel that you should re-inburse me for my stay as I could not sleep at all.
I even took videos so that you can hear.

The hotel seriously needs refurbishment. The carpets are worn and furniture dilapidated. Not on Protea hotel standards.

There are no lifts if you do not stay on the ground floor and you have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Misunderstanding about us paying for one person for breakfast even though I booked and paid for 2. I wanted to use the hairdryer and it hah dust on it, maybe it should be kept in the drawer to prevent that again
