All excellent
Although it was temporary the construction was a bit of bummer - initially we were giving a different room right next to the construction which really was not what I expected based on the online picture, that I assumed would be the look and feel of the room/place, the room had no natural light, had a damp smell and the door was stuck due to the swelling of the wood, fortunately it was not a busy period and we were given another room which saved the stay, else It would have been a very unpleasant time.
Very attentive and helpful staff
The location from booking.com took us up an incorrect dirt track route.
Nice property in a nice location.
Our room heater was noisy and not heating up the room properly.
The food and the spa.
Bookings.com pictures don't match the rooms. It was all resolved.
Breakfast was good.
Underfloor heating in shower appreciated.
Shower problematic to set the desired temperature. Either too hot or too cold.
Basin water spout too low. Difficult to wash one's hands.
During lunch, most desert items on menu mot available.
Spa was excellent, friendly staff, very good message. Lovely facilites. Breakfast outstanding, good variety.
Dinner not so good, could improve.
Almost everything
Was unable to get food
My husband and I stayed at Mount Grace Hotel & Spa on 4–5 June 2026 and had an exceptional experience.
From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Amanda at reception went above and beyond by arranging birthday treats in our room and a surprise dessert after dinner, which made the stay incredibly special. Restaurant staff were consistently professional and welcoming, and Deputy General Manager Aleksander was always visible, approachable, and attentive.
The housekeeping team were equally helpful—special thanks to Jane, who kindly assisted us when we lost our way during a walk.
The level of care and attention to detail was remarkable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel.
Attention to detail
Views, food and staff
The al a carte breakfast on our final morning was good.
The menu available on Sunday evening did not correlate with the menu from the main restaurant. The breakfast the morning before was ok, not enough options for children. Would recommend the installation of a pizza oven as it may be suitable option for family stays/visits. Our room had a damp, wet smell in the carpets. We weren't told about the renovations that were taking place on the property. Some of the facilities, such as the kiddies play area was not available. The heated pool was dirty on the first day. That said, the staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly. I believe that should these changes be accommodated, this would become an ideal resort environment to visit once again.
