La colazione, non buona e molto cara
We arrived in Edinburgh exhausted from the Trip and Albert was both gracious and accommodating with all the assistance getting us established in our room. All our needs were well attended during our stay, the room was very comfortable and any need we had merely needed a request to see handled.

Noisy room
Lovely helpful staff - very generous bottle of champagne in the room for a birthday celebration. Nicely appointed rooms with lovely decor.
Nothing.
The staff went above and beyond. On the day we arrived, we hadn’t had anything to eat for a while. Though afternoon tea service had concluded just before we came, the staff put together a nice little tea for us which was amazing! The food is wonderful, and we enjoyed the quirkiness of the building. Our rooms were great - good size, nicely appointed. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio area when it was sunny and the indoor lounge when it was chilly. The history museum and several good restaurants are just steps away, and one of the stops for the city tour bus was reasonably close.
Nothing!
After our 4th visit to the Bistro for an excellent Sunday Lunch its about time we left a review. Each time we book we hope that its as good as the last time and it never disappoints. The food is amazing, we choose to help our self from the sideboard style salad buffet with some lovely fresh salads, cured meats, smoked fish and warm bread and butter. Main course was roast sirloin of beef, perfectly pink and tender with yorkies, vegetables and jus. Nice selection of desserts on offer but this time we chose the cheese plate. Nice selection of cheese, English though ! We washed it all down with a nice bottle of well priced Malbec. Friendly welcome from the French host and perfectly timed service. Great value overall.
