The rooms are very oudated, very old rooms.
no había luz, estaba sucia las sabanas y el baño nada que ver con las fotos
Apart Hotel Libertador undeniably has the best location in El Calafate. Situated along Av. del Libertador, shops, tour companies, restaurants, cafes and currency exchange are literally just right outside the hotel entrance. I got a 2-level apartment type room even if I traveled solo, so it meant a lot of space for my luggage, which I appreciate. The kitchen area is equipped with mini ref and electric kettle. Plates, utensils and dish washing soap are also provided. Wi-fi worked well inside the room. The sleeping area is on the 2nd floor. The beds and the pillows are not so comfortable but I still managed to get a good sleep after full days of glacier tours. The shower water heating works intermittently. The breakast variety is good and sufficient. The hotel offers tours and they also have lunch boxes at minimal cost for early morning tours. The staff are all very helpful specially Agustin and Pablo at the Reception. Thank you for all the tour and food suggestions and for the excellent customer service! I will stay at Apart Hotel Libertador again if I come back to El Calafate. The location is just unbeatable. It makes a good base for touring that beautiful part of Patagonia!
Haus in keiner guten Zustand Fruehstuecken duerftig.Zimmer sehr klein.
The thing we liked the most was the location, right in the middle of the main avenue. We could arrange our tours, meals and shopping just one step from the hotel.
However the staff was not welcoming, hard to reach and for our departure they called us a remise that ended up charging us a very expensive rate to the airport. Breakfast is a joke, only found crackers and fruitcakes, juice and coffee.
small and quaint, excellent location. friendly and helpful staff
Recomendable.
ok, the best of this hotel is the location. just. at the beginning the size of the room wasn't exactly a problem cause we gonna be out for the whole day.... but.... when the bath time came..... OMG!!!! we kept in good mood and enjoyed anyway.
the bed isn't comfortable, the pillows r weird, the blankets.... well.... they seems to be there since the first opening.
the wifi works just at the lobby and the families that use the first floor units can make a volume noise....
I am still staying in this hotel and I already feel the need to come in here and write a review. My experience matches many of the bad ones described here.
The best thing is definitely its location, right on the main street. Also I was lucky enough to be put on one of the front rooms, which allowed me to have internet in the room.
Everything else was just bad. First our first room had the heating broken and we had to be moved on our second day. Sleeping was more than hard! First there's a bar or a club around so you hear loud music in your room until 6 am. Since most excursions depart at 7 am, you basically get very little sleep. For me, worse than the music was a group of birds that decided to scream outside our room and you have no idea how loud it was! It was impossible to sleep until they went away. On top of that, also around 6 am, there was what sounded like a working washing machine above our room. As you can see, unless we just got really unlucky during our stay, sleeping well is next to impossible.
The breakfast was also the worse. There was no bread, not even for toasting, only crackers, breadsticks and tiny round slices of previously toasted white bread. Butter and jams had no flavour!! Then there's yoghurt and corn flakes and some lousy croissants which help fill your stomach but aren't very good either.
I can't understand how TripAdvisor allows their logo to be displayed on their front door.
Mainly a hotel which leans on its location but deserves to go out of business and replaced for a new, better one.
評価が難しいホテルです。何を求めるかで全く違うものになります。
日中ホテルであまり過ごさずに、立地と価格を求める方にはオススメですが、逆に部屋でゆっくりされる方には全く適さないと思われます。
It's nice hotel; we were in Apartment and is very confortable; it's not to stay all the day but is worm and you can eat in this apartment.
You don’t have WI-Fi in the rooms
The restaurant is very good and the breakfast is nice, is Argentina breakfast, not American.
The location is excellent, is in Av. Del Libertador; in the center of El Calafate, you can walk around the hotel to buy gifts, play in the Casino, drink Mate or have dinner or lunch.
The hotel was centrally located in downtown. Inside, it was fairly dingy and the rooms had a fairly damp smell. We had issues with other people smoking in the hallways and in their rooms, which led to our room smelling like smoke too. Our room was on the third floor, so we had no wireless available.
It,s almost the cheapest hotel I can get online for El Calafate, which is a very overpriced tourist city. It,s located very centrally, with bus terminal on the opposite side of the street and a lot of restaurants, supermarkets and tour agencies around. The standard room is very basic and space is limited. There was almost no space for us to hang our pullovers when we came back. And everything is breakable, you can easy make the mirrors in bathroom or glass on sidetable moving by accident. They have a backyard (or maybe backyard of their neighbor?) where dogs bark all night long. Our sleeping quality was not so bad because we were tired from everyday,s trekking, not because it offers a nice environment to sleep. Breakfast is ok but the choices of food is still limited. For avid network users, there is no wifi in room and you have to go to their lobby. If you can get this hotel for 50 usd a night it would work fine for your money. But I will definitely not pay more than that.
Stayed here in June 08 and was made very welcolm. Apart Hotel Libertador is located on the main street in Calafate. Which is a great benefit allowing one to enjoy the various cafe's or restaurants. The Hotel / Apartments are set back from the main street minimising noise from the street, if you are early to bed. Our apartment was a duplex layout with basic cooking an freezer facilities
