Our greatest and profound thanks to Eric and his team !!!
We had to schedule a last minute family trip to PEI due the sudden passing of my father in law. There was 17 immediate family members who arrived in short order. Trying to arrange everything for everyone and a funeral was no easy task. Since it was mid December we thought perhaps we could have a Christmas meal all together. We contacted Eric at first said he would like to help but his team was already swamped. However knowing the circumstances he quickly said "no worries" I will make it happen. His team worked on their day and prepared the most amazing meal. (They even made a vegan portion for us). The proportions were amazing, the food was absolutely delicious and they thought of everything, forks, knives, salt pepper, butter, desert, etc etc and all in charging dishes to keep everything warm. Eric and his team made a sad event into a warm family function that will be remembered fondly forever. Thank you sooo much. You kindness and generosity will not be forgotten.
The DesRoches's family
A former barracks converted to public accommodations. The hallways were institutional but the rooms were fine. The beds were great.
Interesting property olf military base. Easy to find, good price...easy access to all areas
This hotel is on an Air Force base that has shut down, and has annex’s. We are in one of the barracks! Everything is fantastic! Being an army brat it brings back memories of my younger years!
Price was right. We had a bed issue and they quickly resolved it by moving us to another room.
Clean and very friendly staff
It was very inconvenient
Great place to stay, we stayed with our two children for three nights. The lady that works the front desk was friendly and helpful, she made us feel welcome. Our room was very clean, washer/dryer available and ice machine. We also liked that we had a fridge and microwave. We would return again, it’s better than staying at the nearby motels.
Clean, convenient, cozy
The parking was too far from the unit. The fire equipment was out of service or not serviced. Sink in unit was chipped and rusted. Kitchen was not open on W/E.
parking was too far from the entrance to the room.
3.5 stars? It's fine. We stayed four nights with family. Beds were comfortable and room was generally clean if maybe a bit dated. Window mounted air conditioner meant that if we closed the blinds it blocked the fan but that didn't seem to be an issue. Water in the rooms is not currently drinkable, but the hotel provided bottled water. There is a nice small gazebo out front that we sat in for a bit. There is a free EV charger behind the main building that was helpful for us. I didn't try the restaurant but others had breakfast there and said it was okay. Fridge in the room meant that I had leftovers for breakfast most mornings! :) Overall if just looking for a place to sleep its perfectly serviceable basic stay, especially for the price. I would consider staying here again for similar trip. If looking for something a bit fancier or more luxurious I might look elsewhere.
we booked and paid for a queen bedroom but received a double
Clean and nice and central. Only complaint is that the restaurant closes at 2pm
Parking was a bit inconvenient. Room rather cold.
Older property but well maintained. Took me back to my barricks days. Goid privacy. Little noisy at times with Police Academy students in the same building but nut a shuw stopper. Convenient to west side of PEI but not in town. Poor parking situation. Would stay there again
was nice spot overwhelming and the staff was nice
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Slemon Park and Conference Centre, and I must say, it was a lovely experience. The building itself, with its history as an old Canadian Army base added a nostalgic touch that you don’t find in newer places. Our room was reasonably priced for the area, and it served as a perfect retreat for a good night's sleep after a day of exploring.
What truly stood out during our stay was the staff, especially Kim at the front desk. She was absolutely fantastic! Kim was attentive and really made us feel welcome. She took the time to understand what we were looking for and offered some great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Thanks to her, our anniversary trip turned out to be even more special.
Overall, if you’re looking for a cozy, well-priced spot with wonderful staff, I highly recommend Slemon Park and Conference Centre. It truly made our stay memorable!
Didn’t meet my expectations and not comfortable.
We had to use bottled water. They supplied it.
