Sol Torremolinos - Don Marco Adults Recommended

Whilst this is advertised as an adult hotel it is part of a group of hotels all on the same site. Therefore children at breakfast and around the adult pool was not what we expected. The air con also didn’t work and took several times to contact reception to fix.

Convenient location to all amenities. Great breakfast food choices. Plenty of sun beds and pools, beach is across the street and sea view rooms. Lots of beach restaurants and lovely promenades to walk for miles.

We had a wonderful weekend away. The hotel was spotless and obviously refurbished. Highly recommend

On arrival was offered a room which was available as the one that had been allocated would not be ready until 3pm ( normal check-in time. Although this room was at first glance ok I don’t think it was to the same standard as that booked. After a night spent in the room the patio window was misted up with condensation and even the bedclothes felt cold and slightly damp to the touch. As it was a short stay we decided not to ask for another room but on hindsight I think we should have.

Another matter that was not in the hotel advert was that there were major building works being carried out at one of the accommodation blocks, although these did not spoil our stay with two pools closed and the other outside pools too cold to swim it it left us with only the choice of an indoor swim!

Having said all that the sunshine was great.

All was good, except the food. We had very good food option in our travel around Spain, but this hotel’s food isn’t the greatest. Do not buy the all inclusive option. Definitely is not worth it.

We stayed here for 5 nights in July for our birthdays. It was a beautiful resort newly refurbished and great restaurant, conveniently located for shops , bars and old town.
The sixth and seventh star goes to Enrice the customer engagement manager . He was the most lovely , kind and professional person . He made sure our stay was perfect , nothing was too much trouble and he always had the biggest smile 😀 thank you enrique we will be back . Farzana and Caroline

Our stay at Don Marcos was great, lovely hotel and location with lots of pool areas to chose from. Room was a good size and very comfortable and generally very quiet. We did come back one day to find our hotel room door had been left wide open by the cleaners, which was a bit alarming! Room does not have any tea/coffee making facilities so take your own if you want this!
I was surprised the hotel did not offer any beach facilities, would be great to extend their service at the beach which is directly opposite.

I did contact the hotel before to advise them it was our anniversary but maybe they didn’t receive my message as nothing special organised. 🙁

Very nice modern room. Breakfast has great options and staff are lovely. The pools are in great locations around the hotel. Hotel is perfectly situated on the strip. Couldn’t fault it!

The location is brilliant if you are looking for a beach hotel. However, our check-in with parking took 1 hour since there was only one reception area for at least two hotels (the Sol hotels belong together) and the staff was completeley overwhelmed. The reception area was renovated but the rooms need work. When we entered the room, the AC smelled like a wet dog and there was hair all over the floor.
Breakfast was fine and the hotel takes a lot of care in complying with safety regulations.
For us, this was not a 4 star - experience and we won’t come back.

Beautiful room, clean, secure, great view, balcony. Lobby was beautiful too. Staff was very helpful with buying train tickets for the next leg of our journey.

Huge resort - great for families. We were in what the front desk referred to as the “quiet” part of the resort - which we preferred, but it wasn’t advertised that way. The front desk said we had free minibar items with our room and gave us directions to our room. We got all the way up to the top floor and there was no 3705. Went back downstairs and she apologized but said you can only get there from the other set of elevators. This after a very long flight from the US. The free minibar items were two beers in the fridge. No other items even for purchase. When we asked for ice and coffee to go with the water kettle they said that’s only for tea and you have to ask for ice from the bar. And he looked at us like we were crazy. Not helpful to say the least. Bathrooms and bedroom was was mediocre and bed small but comfortable.

Location is right in front of the beach.

The rooms are not to the 4 star level. Rooms are very basic and mattress are quite run down.

The hotel was amazing, so clean, all staff friendly, rooms cleaned to a hight standard, we really would not hesitate to come back to this hotel, in fact we are already looking to book to come back again in September, This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

What I would like is the room fridge to be colder, when I put water into fridge it did not get any colder.
