This was the unexpected golden gem.
Had originally booked another 2 hotels for a 1-day hotel but had to increase for a 3-day stay. The Conningbrook came up with a very competitive price, and turned out to be much better value that the previous, and having stayed at of the previous booked, was a better spec. The staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you. And location perfect.
All in all, a great venue, great location and at great value. Thank you.

The first room was absolutely not acceptable - large iron burn in carpet; faulty extractor fan; black mould and a very odd smell. However, the second room ( a refurbished one) was good
Nice property in convenient location for Eurotunnel with plenty of parking. My room looked like it was brand new and was meticulously clean.
The staff were really nice and helpful, especially the receptionist who also worked the bar. She was kind enough to ensure I got a drink after a looooong day driving despite being a little bit late arriving. Thank you!

The waitress we had in the evening called Lili was excellent, the lady on reception was friendly and welcoming.

Everything was lovely
Everyone was slamming their doors and could hear the creaking of the floor boards in the hallway. I realised that the door handle wouldn't turn and the door had to be shut and you had to be a bit forceful with it. The doors need to be improved, some mechanism where the door closes slowly and the handles are better. Some sort of sound proof to it wouldn't hurt. I was woken up at 6am by someone slamming the door really hard, the whole room shook.

Had a lovely Mother’s Day meal at our local pub, The Conningbrook Hotel. The food was delicious, especially the roast, and everything came out perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made it feel really special.
The staff were brilliant — friendly, attentive, and very smartly presented, which added a really nice touch. They made a real effort to make the day memorable for my mum.
Overall, a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!

Upon arrival the lady who welcomed us was really lovely and she showed an interest in why we were there for the weekend, and was really friendly as was Alfie for breakfast the first morning and when he arrived on the Sunday and good service for breakfast on the Sunday too.
A little dated in the bar and eating areas.
