Great location/breakfast/ staff but disappointments
Pros:

In fairness, I think it was good (rather than excellent). My room was clean. The sheets on the bed were good quality, although I chose initially to sleep on top of the bed as it was a hot night. The shower was good. The breakfast was very good. All of the staff that I dealt with were very polite.

Cons:

The room was incredibly hot. I ended up having to lie on the floor beside the window to get some fresh air.

However, what we were most disappointed that on our evening, at the hotel public bar and also within the hotel, as hotel guests (4 of us) when we requested a drink well in advance of 11pm closing time, we were declined as they said the bar was shut and our evening was prematurely concluded without ceremony. We explained that we were staying at the hotel but they still said no (and we were not intoxicated). Very, very disappointed.

The hotel is in a great location, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were excellent. We also really liked the overall decor and atmosphere of the hotel.

Cons:

We wish we had been told in advance that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment, as the scaffolding was very visible (took up our entire view) and affected the overall experience. We also felt the bedding could have been better prepared for summer, as sleeping was not as comfortable as it could have been.

Very nice, staff helpful.
Pros:

The breakfast room was nice and clean. I needed to move to another bedroom, when I got there. The bedroom reserved for me was too small. The manager quickly put in another room, without any hesitation.

Cons:

I had the English Breakfast, the food was nice but not hot enough for me.

Perfect location, lovely staff, highly recommend
Pros:

From the minute we arrived, Jay was very welcoming, attentive, fun & accommodating. Our room was perfect, with the riverside view as requested.
We enjoyed a bottle of wine in the sunshine prior to going for dinner.
We have stayed here before & would definitely stay again.

Cons:

Although the breakfast was very tasty, we had to wait just over half an hour after ordering for it to arrive. The staff were friendly & apologetic but as a heads up, if there is going to be a long wait, perhaps advise residents when they order. Worth the wait though.
