Excellent valve, stunning location
Pros:

I have stopped at the hotel on a number of occasions, can't always get a room as fully booked which says alot about the place. Its rated as 3 * which I believe to be a fair rating however the staff are friendly and the restaurant/bar is excellent.

Cons:

Nothing bad to report,

Pleasant, traditional, English hotel in need of a little modernisation.
Pros:

A comfortable bed. There was a small balcony with a large french window opening out onto it. This provided some ventilation during the very hot weather (30 degrees C). Good size shower.
Pleasant dining room. Good breakfast. Wide menu choice for dinner, which was very tasty (Fried squid and Caesar's Salad) with a good wine list and plenty of choice of beers.

Cons:

No air conditioning which made sleeping difficult in 30+ degrees.
No lift makes life difficult if you have heavy bags to carry upstairs.
Car parking is very limited at the hotel.
Nearby public car park can be busy and result in a long walk from the hotel.

It was lovely, but breakfast spoilt it.
Pros:

Our greeting at reception was friendly, we was very early for check in, but said they will get it sorted early for us. The position over the river was good, very clean. Evening meal was lovely, evening staff very friendly, stopped to chat with you.

Cons:

Breakfast was a bit poor, poached eggs was hard. Staff there was only 2, running around doing everything, but as they gave you a pot of tea, they run off, i asked for a clean cup and she was gone, i asked for vinegar, they didn't hear us as they was rushing away. I thought this was very rude. It was like a comedy. We Evan tried chatting and saying are you short staff, he grinned and was gone.
It gave us the hump and we left. They both where very smiley, but rude

Will happily return for another stay.
Pros:

From the manager through to cleaning staff, all were cheerful and helpful. We entered hotel by bar entrance and felt confused as to reception area, the waiter who subsequently served us in the dining area cheerfully stopped what he was doing and escorted us to reception. Becky, the manager, introduced herself to us and made sure we were well taken care of.

Cons:

Mirror over bathroom sink is too high to see above the bevel border.

Great value family break
Pros:

Great sized family room - clean room and friendly staff. The location is lovely. The beds were super comfy too. All in all a very nice stay.

Cons:

Breakfast on the first morning was very busy - food was super tasty, but it took quite a while to come. It felt like they were a bit understaffed on this particular morning. Breakfast on the second day was seamless.

Great for us as a Family.
Pros:

Check in. Lovely lady, almost too happy to see us....
staff. All very good.
Breakfast. Cooked fresh, and included in the price so you get value.
Location. Bang by the river, if you like this area, this is perfect for it.
Coffee machine, some top hotels in London you don't get this.

Cons:

Very hot in the room, but we did stay during a heat wave. Not much the hotel could do about that.
Was given Water at reception on arrival to take up to the room.

Pros:

Friendly staff. Basic, but good price value

Cons:

There was a water leak in the floor above us, causing some water into our bathroom. It was noticed and handled properly by the friendly staff.

Cons:

Für einen Mann über 1,80 Meter kaum möglich, ohne mittelschwere Überschwemmung im Bad zu duschen. Die Glasabtrennung ist zu klein.

The highlight of Sandwich
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff on arrival. The bed was ultra comfy and the room was decorated tastfully. Toiletries included were most welcome. Menu outstanding, it was hard to chose! Jay and Dannie made the restaurant experience tip top. The bar Manager made our late night tipple enjoyable and was chatty but not patronising. Have made a decision to visit again for a special occasion in the nit too distant future.

Cons:

Not having booked for a longer stay!
