Spent the night b4 early flight next day been many times very nice hotel on left car there on retuning at midnight car would not start called the AA had a long wait hotel staff were excellent particular Omar I think his name made us feel comfortable at home eventually sorting a room for us AA we're not coming until next day he took care of us brilliantly could not have done more
Very good experience on my second stay at this hotel, Particularly from Omar who was on duty to check me in on my very late arrival. He was very helpful and professional and gave a great first impression for my stay.
We arrived late after a difficult journey but the warm welcome and help for an easy check in from Jenn on reception was a lovely start. We were then really looked after by Omar who was friendly and helpful and made sure we had a great start to our stay and a cold beer.
Stayed for a few nights while in the area. Hotel is easy to find off the motorway, one of the few hotels with car parking which is £25 p/n. A 10 minute walk to the South Terminal or a bus which pulls outside the hotel. Clean hotel and spacious rooms. Downfall was the TV coming on at 4.20am every morning for no apparent reason. Also the restaurant and restaurant service was very slow in the evening and not the best breakfast offering.
To be honest we didn’t expect how nice our overnight stay at The Courtyard before our early morning flight would be. Ease of finding it, parking and checking in made a great start. We had a lovely healthy meal in the restaurant served by Juliette who was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This experience exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable and we definitely felt like our holiday had started.
Juliette was the most amazing waitress, she was informative and friendly, I wish we had waitresses like her in Maidstone
It's a good location just 15 minutes from the terminal. The soundproofing is excellent. We heard no outside noise. Plenty charging points in the room for our electricals. We slept well. We had dinner and there was enough choice. We enjoyed it. All in all a pleasant pre-departure stopover.
Great staff, great sleep and great breakfast. Everything you expect from an on-site airport hotel. It’s a short walk to the terminal with easy links to the north terminal and no need for a shuttle bus.
After a long day, and being bumped from our flight… Masa, Alex and Juliette and Jousef made it a lot better with their wonderful smiles. Thank you
We used 3rd party for hotel and parking ahead of an early morning flight. Upon arrival at the hotel on 28 January, it was discovered that there were two bookings made for the same stay. This was an error, as only one room and one meet-and-greet parking space were required and used.
It was later identified that an email regarding this issue had been sent by Holiday Extras on 12 January; however, this email was incorrectly filtered into a junk mailbox and was therefore not seen prior to arrival.
In addition to this, during our stay, a serious security issue occurred. While we were asleep in the room, another key was issued to a different customer, who subsequently entered our room. This incident was extremely distressing and raised significant concerns regarding guest safety.
I reported this matter to Roberta, the Reception Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Gatwick Airport. She advised that the hotel would be contacting Holiday Extras directly in relation to this incident.
Waiting to hear back about the issue.
Had a one night stay prior to an early morning flight. Hotel checkin was easy and friendly with Johnson, where he acknowledged stays and upgraded the room
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, having a queen bed and a sofa. The bed was comfortable and delivered a great sleep. The bathroom was compact, to say the least with an over bath shower.
Towels and linen were of good quality and the furnishings were without stain or damage.
Overall a great nights stay. A note of caution, check your bill on departure and if you have it mailed to you make sure the correct bill arrived in your inbox before you leave!
I’ve been here for 2 nights and have a dinner in the restaurant. I’ve been served by Madalina and she was amazing, smiling and her service she provides it was amazing. Food very delicious and big portions..well done to the chef. The check in I’ve done it with Cosmina, she is very professional. Also Francesca in the bar very nice. Thank you Courtyard for this 2 nights. You’ve been amazing. I will be back definetly soon to stay with you
Lovely quiet hotel with bar and restaurant area. We had a Juliette serve us at dinner service. She was efficient and friendly. Very helpful in answering our questions about getting to the Northern terminal. Would definitely stay here again.
The hitel was nice. A particular member of Staff named Juliette was very helpful with our dinner.
Francesca behind the bar was also accommodating when taking our order.
Great service from
Juliet at the bar/restaurant.
Friendly and helpful.
Walking distance from airport. Nice atmosphere. Staff courteous. Rooms comfy and clean.
I don't recall sheets. I got too hot with cover, and cold without it. Difficult to find a happy medium.
Breakfast was good, but there should be sanitizer. Guava nectar and orange juice were delicious 😋.
No drinking water, apples or coffee in lobby. Two glass bottles for 4 guests were provided in room.
No lip balm @reception
Good experience In general
We got a military discount 🙏
I am a regular reviewer of this hotel and have never given it less than 5 stars but my recent visit was not up to its usual standard. I am still pleased with location, room comfort and cleanliness. However, the restaurant was hopeless. Tables and floors were uncleared, staff hard to find and very confused, food slow to arrive despite few people in the restaurant. Possibly a staffing issue with those covering untrained. Definitely needs to sharpen up.
Stayed in few airport hotels in my time and have to say this is one of the best. Usually they are a bit down at heel, scuffed and sometimes a bit grubby due to the volume of traffic they have.
Here, the common parts looked clean and well maintained; hall and bedroom carpets clean. Room itself, pristine.
Very good beds and linen, no plane noise, in fact, no noise at all really.
Restaurant has a reasonable range of food but AVOID the 'crispy duck salad' it was horrible - I chose badly.
Staff are pleasant. ( and it must be a nightmare recruiting and retaining staff for the period between Xmas and New Year.)
Professional and friendly staff, you are made to feel very welcome.
The rooms are spacious and clean with a comfy bed and pillows. The tv is huge and has a wide range of channels.
The bathroom has everything you need with quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There is a quirky mirror that doesn't steam up, allowing you to shave straight after a shower.
Ample room for clothes. There is an iron, hairdryer, and a bag for any dry cleaning required. Expensive but it is London.
The restaurant is different. The staff are very friendly and the menu is varied and competitively priced. The night we booked for dinner, it was very busy. After giving our order, it seemed to fall apart. After 20 minutes, we were told the order had been lost in the system and had to be reordered. We ordered again, and after another wait, we received our food. There was no mention of chilly on my tofu salad, and it was way too hot to eat. Had I known, I would have chosen differently. The soup was supposed to be tomato but ended up as vegetable, but it was perfect. The bread was very good also. My wife's fish and chips were warm rather than hot, and her glass of rose wine took a while to appear. I received a large glass of Romanian red wine, which was very nice, and there was no charge due to the problems we experienced.
The staff tried so hard, but their inexperience coupled with how busy the restaurant was seemed to overwhelm them. I would gladly return, but hopefully, at a quieter time.
Comfortable, quiet room, decent size. Easy walk to terminal next morning. Parking here was expensive for our 10 day break so we parked long stay which is right by it so just a short walk from car to hotel. Food was average but ok
