wonderful stay
Pros:

I recently stayed at JW Marriott Medan and had a truly wonderful experience from arrival until departure. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, and every staff member I met was friendly, warm, and always willing to help.

The food was amazing with so many delicious options to choose from, making every meal enjoyable during my stay.

I would also like to give special appreciation to Puspa at the reception for being extremely helpful, professional, and welcoming throughout my stay. She made the check-in experience smooth and pleasant. Special thanks as well to Feri at Marriott Café, who genuinely took great care of me and made me feel comfortable and valued as a guest.

Thank you to the entire team for the outstanding hospitality. I will definitely come back again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Medan.

Great stay
Pros:

After 3 weeks backpacking around this was a welcome stay. Unfortunately we arrived late so didn't get to use full facilities. We had some issues with room service but after going to reception it was sorted.
Breakfast was fantastic staff helpful

Cons:

Requested bag pick up at a certain time which didnt happen so struggled taking bags back down. Not a major issue but paying premium expect premium service.

Exceptional !
Pros:

I just love going to JW Marriott in Medan.
The people are excellent.
The service is excellent.
The rooms are very good for Indonesia.
I have stayed at the hotel multiple times, and each time I find the experience to be fantastic.

Cons:

Occasionally I find that the water in the shower lacks pressure. It depends on what room / level of floor you are on. But this is a minor issue !

A Refined and Rejuvenating Stay at JW Marriott Hotel Medan

One of the most memorable staycations I’ve had in Medan is undoubtedly at JW Marriott Medan. Having stayed here several times, I recently returned and chose the Executive Deluxe Room, as I was in need of a well-deserved break after more than two weeks of traveling abroad.

The room was spacious and newly renovated, offering a clean, modern, and refreshed ambiance. What stood out most was the stunning city view of Medan, which could be enjoyed not only from the bedroom but also from the bathroom, where the bathtub overlooks the skyline—an especially relaxing touch.

As always, I was genuinely impressed by the overall quality of service, as well as the facilities and amenities provided. From the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna to the fitness centre, restaurant, and lounge, everything I needed for a comfortable and rejuvenating stay was readily available. The hospitality remains consistently warm, making every return feel welcoming.

The location is also highly convenient, strategically situated near key areas in Medan and within walking distance of popular malls and iconic landmarks. Overall, my stay provided the perfect opportunity to rest, recharge, and reset, and I look forward to returning again.

Great Service, Great Location, Great Stay

We had a wonderful stay and were truly impressed by the top-notch service from Ali and Danny at customer service, as well as Maggie and Valencia at reception. They went above and beyond to accommodate our various requests with efficiency and warmth.

All the staff were consistently welcoming, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. We especially appreciated how minor repairs were handled promptly, with clear updates via WhatsApp once completed—such a thoughtful touch that made everything seamless.

The location is also a huge plus—right in the heart of downtown and directly opposite DeliPark Mall, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining.

A big thank you to the team for making our stay so comfortable. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Medan!

Cons:

The lack of Tamil language channels to meet the demand of the Tamil diaspora in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Remember, that Medan has a sizeable Tamil population also. Many Tamils from the regions visit Medan. Please, look into this abd also include Netflix and Youtube.
