Wlan funktioniert nicht wirklich. Zimmeraustattung ist schlecht (kein Safe etc.), Zimmer sind eher dunkel, Betten waren auch nicht wirklich bequem

Großes Zimmer, bequemes Bett und sehr sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet.
Freundliches Personal.

Cons:

Der Pool liegt direkt neben dem Restaurant, so dass jeder hinausschauen kann. Ich würde mich beobachtet fühlen und ungern darin schwimmen.
Klimaanlage läuft ständig, im Zimmer war es kalt. Eigenhändig nicht gut regulierbar.

En perle ved stranden
Pros:

Hele personalet var så imødekommende, men vi sender en speciel ros til event manageren Praveen Aparna Rohith, der gav sig tid til at finde de bedste udflugtsmål og også var os behjælpelig med at booke overnatning til vores videre rejse her I Kerala. Vi blev også dag mødt af smil af pool manden, der sørgede for håndklæder til os, så vi kunne nyde solen efter en tur i swimmingpoolen.

Cons:

Theen til morgenmaden var helt sort og for os udtrykkelig.

Great staff and views
Pros:

Excellent staff, everyone was very helpful and friendly. Great beach view from window, good food choices.

Cons:

We were disappointed that the spa area was closed and that hardly any of the gym equipment worked. The corridor ceiling was badly water damaged and looked as if it was on the verge of collapse.

Very very few malayalam free channels are available for viewing. Pay channels even malayalam are not activated

I definitely stay here again, highly recommended
Pros:

Breakfast was good and so do the location. Had pleasant stay in the hotel, all the staffs were friendly and would like to thank Dip kumar and Sayed the housekeeping staff they were amazing! I was especially touched by the beautiful towel swan and few other creative towel they made in our room — such a thoughtful and artistic touch. It really made our stay feel special.

Incredible hotel
Pros:

Our stay in the Executive room was very pleasant. Large, well furnished, and had great facilities. The included buffet breakfast was very extensive with a huge range. The front manager Praveen was very kind to us, helping resolve problems and making our stay excellent.

Cons:

At first we had trouble with paying by foreign card because the reader wasn't connected online. Very minor issues, TV didn't work well and body soap was empty in our bathroom.

Quilon Beach Hotel is a nice place to stay, but may consider having local SIM to connect to Internet
Pros:

Location and ambience: Very good. Less than about 10 minutes by car from the railway station. As for the nearby amenities, I accessed the beach in just one minute through the gate at the back. Please note that swimming in the Arabian Sea is dangerous. The beach, kept neat by the local authorities, bustles with activity late into the night. Local traders with trinkets, toys and fast food adorn the silver sands. I relished all these walking on the beach in the nights, listening to the waves crashing on the steep shoreline with Quilon Beach Hotel on one side, and the lights from the boats afar in the Arabian Sea festooning the horizon, on the other.

Room: All rooms apparently have one window with sea view, it seems. I could watch the sunset reflecting off the ripples on the Arabian Sea. Rooms are clean. Room service has been very prompt.

Cons:

It was challenge (if not frustrating) to control the lights in the room, for all the switches are on one single “remote” panel (Ethernet wired) and they malfunction.If you press the wall lamp on, the toilet light will go off and so on. Unfortunately there are no physical switches on the walls to override. Half of my evenings were spent toggling them buttons on the dysfunctional “remote”. You will have to make do with whichever bulbs light up…

WiFi: Don’t count on it if you do not have local SIM. I will give their WiFi a generous 2/10. It was intermittent and weak in most areas. I really struggled.

Food: Breakfast was just okay. Items like kwa-son (croissant) aren’t of international standard though. But for the local standards breakfast could be considered very good.

Staff: Very polite and very helpful. In particular mention is Aparna at the Reception. Her communication is very professional. Praveen, the manager, is a blessing to the establishment. He sorted out a problem I had with the room without any fuss. Between the two, nothing was too difficult. They readily dealt with all my requests efficiently and promptly to make the 50-year reunion with four of my closest University friends in Kollam smooth and enjoyable. Thanks to the hospitality I was offered by Quilon Beach Hotel (previously known locally as “Beach Orchid”).
