OUTRIGGER Koh Samui Beach Resort

The resort is very well located with very good pool area. It is very very well maintained with warm and helping staff. I enjoyed my stay here.

Just about to check out after 5 wonderful nights at Outrigger.

Nicely located just on the outskirts on Lamai (with great transport routes to the main tourist area of Lamai, via walk, taxi or public transport) the hotel and pool area are really good.

Yes the pool and bar area are across a road but you have 2 great security personnel who flag you across the road when safe to cross and adds to the quirkiness of this hotel.

All the staff are amazing, friendly and so helpful.

The rooms are lovely with massive beds and have everything you need; housekeeping change or make good the rooms every day.

Breakfast is good, with loads of choice and tastes amazing.

The pool area is well set up with a kids area, a larger deeper pool, sun beds overlooking the beach and sea and even a bean bag section; 4 private areas for you to set up camp during the day.

The spa treatments are also very good; only issue is that these take place near the kids pool so you don’t get the peace and tranquility you’d expect for a hotel spa facility.

Couldn’t fault the place; a very nice stay.

Location paradise. Atmosphere wonderful. Room spacious and clean. We had side view sea view with balcony. Certainly value for money.

The hotel is gracious, clean and fresh.

The bedroom was fab - aircon, fridge, fabulous shower. It has a great breakfast buffet, and fantastic pool facilities both in the main hotel and its main Restaurent - Edgewater next to the beach.

The staff were absolutely delightful and the service was spot on.

Great family resort. Staff fantastic and all greeted us by name. Pool was great and in an excellent location right on the beach front. Kids club came in handy, and the kids loved laser tag. Great value for money.

Recently, I had a stay at Outrigger, and we apparently mislayed items that disappeared from our room.
Im wondering if any other guests had the same experience.

Spent 9 fantastic nights with the most incredible staff. Jeremy, Joe, Feen, Pop, Packy, Nut and Audi made our stay so memorable.

Their care and attention to us was unforgettable.

A chilled holiday and only 15 minutes in a cab to livelier areas. A great place to relax and make family memories.

We will be back just to see the team again!

I was traveling solo and had my 30th birthday in Samui, I didn’t even tell the reception it was my birthday and they arranged the cutest cake and display in my room.
The attention to detail was incredible.
The breakfast is amazing and restaurant has excellent food choices. Rooms are beautiful and beds very comfortable.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere at the water edge beach club was pure paradise . Michael, May, Feen, Jira and Pop were awesome. Mui was very funny . Everyone was Very kind and friendly towards our little boy who is only one. The hotel offers crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and an effortlessly chic vibe that makes relaxation unavoidable. Our room was immaculate and cleaned daily. Extremely clean! Joe and Jeremy take a lot of pride on the services they offer. The beach club itself is stunning — stylish loungers, excellent music, and attentive staff who always seem to appear at the right moment with a refreshing drink.
The food and cocktails were outstanding, with fresh, locally inspired dishes and creative presentations that made every meal a highlight. Whether lounging by the infinity pool, joining a sunset yoga session, or simply watching the sun dip below the horizon, every moment felt special.
It’s rare to find a place that balances luxury, comfort, and genuine warmth so perfectly. The hotel truly exceeded all expectations — can’t wait to come back!

Away from the hectic (but within reach), I have come to appreciate what the owners and management have created at Lamai. A quiet place for those seeking that corner of relaxation. The 'split' between the seaside Edgewater and the rooms on the other side of the road does work quite well.

Praise needs to be given to Khun Fai - the housekeeper (what a little gem) and Khun Ice from Voyager 47. Both show that a smile, a little chat, and that the devil lies in the details.

It again shows that anyone can build a resort but the software - the team and the engine of hospitality - is what turns the wheels. Outrigger Samui is such a place.

We had a wonderful experience at The Outrigger, Koh Samui. The service and staff are amazing and rooms very comfortable. The Edgewater resort pool and dining was also excellent. We highly recommend The Outrigger and hopefully will be back!

This is an amazing hotel, beautiful and well equipped. I travelled with my six year old son and all the staff were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. My son particularly loved the pool, slide and games room. We would recommend this hotel to everyone, especially families.

I'll start by saying that the hotel itself is beautiful, and the pools are great fun for families. The room was also very large and pleasant. However, there were several issues that bothered me personally, which led me to request an early checkout — a request that was denied.

Firstly, the hotel is undergoing renovations. Construction work was taking place right outside my room while my baby was sleeping. I even showed them a video of the noise, but no one seemed to care. Additionally, there was no mention anywhere that renovations were taking place, which I find quite unacceptable — especially considering the price we paid, which wasn’t cheap.

During my stay, there was a large group that completely took over the pool and water slide, preventing anyone else from using them. None of the hotel staff said a word, even when they saw my daughter crying and despite my complaint.

Personally, I found the breakfast disappointing, though that might be a matter of taste.

Because of all this, I asked to leave a day or two early but was refused.
I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Wonderfully relaxing holiday at this beautiful resort. The staff were outstanding from check in to check out and anticipated our every need. The colonial-style resort is beautifully maintained and scrupulously clean. The food and beverages are delicious and reasonably priced. Some reviewers found having to cross the road for the pools and poolside dining a bit off putting, however, we didn’t have an issue with it because it means the accommodation is super quiet and relaxing, away from all of the activity. The security guards ensure the road crossing is safe and always with a beaming smile. I would highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for great comfort, service and amenities at a reasonable price.

A very relaxed value for money stay.
The breakfasts were exceptional - all tastes and nationalities catered for. Mix and match to your gourmet heart's content.
The beach bar and restaurant by the pool with loungers as well as chairs and tables were appreciated.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. When we checked in, they served us hibiscus tea and upgraded us to suites.
All of the staff were warm and welcoming and did their best to remember us.
It was very clean everywhere.

Friendly staff and excellent customer service throughout our entire stay. Rooms are nice and a decent size. However, our room was a little dark.
The main pool area is really nice, right on the beach and plenty of places to sit. The kids loved the slide. The only minor downside is having to walk across the busy road to get to the pool. However, there are traffic controllers available at all times to take you across safely.
