Professional property host/manager
Tired, smelly room, flooring cheap sticky, hotel staff no personality …. Air con practically non existent. Pool area crowded sun beds on top of one another no space. Pool very small online pictures deceiving. Access to pool from busy Pattaya beach road no secure. We checked in and left 1hr later for another hotel.
First off, I am giving this hotel 5 stars still even though I do have 1 issue.
The 5 stars is given to the modernness and the friendly staff.
I have been to Thailand on quite a few occasions and this hotel is the best I have stopped in. That is for room and facilities and also location too. (Right on the beach and 5 minutes from the nightlight).
Everything was done for us from the moment we arrived to when we left.
Breakfast was quite good with plenty of choice.
Now, onto the point I said about having an issue. The pool surroundings can be lethal as they use slippery tiles. For some reason the pool is set above ground meaning you climb up and into the pool but also visa versa getting out. The steps are built into the outer wall so similar to a ladder effect. I unfortunately learned this the hard way as the floor was so slippery that I lost my traction and took a nasty tumble. The noise of myself hitting the ground followed by the groan had other guests come to my help. I now have excruciating pain in my right side.
I mentioned this to hotel reception twice but my words of warning were not listened to.
Once again it has not deterred me scoring this hotel a high standard because it really is. Just beware of getting out of the pool.
Had an enjoyable 5 nights stay which we extended to 8 as the hotel ticked all our boxes, pool area is excellent, breakfast was good(no bacon available) and plenty of options.
Room was tired.but clean comfy bed, they're in the middle of renovating the Jontiem Wing.
4 full size snooker tables, bowling alley and in-house curry house...yes it's big.
Staff are great and friendly, polite, and very helpful.
Beach 10 steps away, bars and restaurants too.
We stayed here from 12th to 14th October,2025 .The atmosphere of the hotel is outstanding there were 3 types of pool, bowling area, gym etc. Location was amazing sea beach is just in front of the hotel. Rooms are clean & functional. values for money. Surroundings are calm & quiet. Service was good.

It was my partners first time to ever see the ocean he is from Laos we had the best time ever the pool was beautiful the beach was across the street walking distance to jomtien complex the hotel was beautiful we had a great time
Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel & Resort is fine. It has standard four star amenities – a nice pool, bowling alley, billiards room, etc. The breakfast was above average, with a huge selection of hot food, cereals, fruit, and fresh juices.
For the price though, the hospitality could be better. I spent many years working in service so I make it point to greet everyone from the doorman, to the cleaners, to the support staff. About half of my greetings were returned with the barest acknowledgment. Some were ignored completely. It's not a big deal and it didn't ruin my trip. Nobody was rude; they just weren't friendly.
The location of the hotel is great. It's within walking distance of Dongtan Beach and Jomtien's nightlife area. I don't consider Jomtien an unsafe place, but guests may be leery about walking to the hotel at night. The entrance doors are down an alley-like street and it gets dark at night. There are security guards and doormen posted, so again, I didn't feel unsafe. Just something to note.
Something that bothered me about Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel, other than the unfriendly staff, was the room assignment. Upon making a reservation, I was given the option to take whatever room was available during check in exchange for a discounted price. Instead, I paid more for a single bed. At check-in, I was given a double bed because no more single beds were available. I felt if I was going to be assigned whatever was available regardless, then I should have been given the difference between the rates. Like I said earlier, no service, no hospitality, and attention to detail for a four star establishment. Just check in and check out.
I will probably try another establishment the next time.
Great staff
The staff was great. The property is nice but needs updating. Our bathroom needed alot of renewing. Lots of mold/mildew in the grout. Room furniture needed replacing. We made the best of it though, but it shows on expedia as a four star and probably was years ago. It is in a great location for walking and the beach.
Hotel still going thru renovations. Lots of construction noise from properties around the hotel during the day. At night the hotel is quiet. Breakfast buffet lots of options, food tasted average.
Location is in the middle of night life and shopping. Only down side is the traffic and noise. The 2 swimming pools are large and ok. The buffet breakfast is good.
The hotel is under renovations, so all the restaurants and whatnot may not be open on the property yet, but you do get a discount if you book it around now. The hotel room itself is 4-star quality, and as you probably already know, the location is prime.
Hotel and staff good, especially Thia the mature gentleman at the door was the most friendly hotel staff employee I have come across.
Hotel Policy
Was woken up at 2.00am by a couple of their faces taking cannabis, they were smoking it inside the room and out.
The Thai man was screaming and his partner was shouting, whilst TV was loud.
This lasted till 5am, took 3 phone calls for security to come.
It calmed down and was not able to sleep due to this.
Spoke to manager who said they would move them...
Guest what? He later told me that the couple said they wouldn't do it again
You can't change bad behaviour where drugs are concerned
I said I wanted them to move, be he said no..
I wanted to be moved as not going to risk another night of hell.
He did move us, but this says to guests and their hotel policy that bad behaviour involving drugs is ok
Not good service from the manager who was male.
A lot of people staying there are not 4 star people, mostly single males, one particularly playing load heavy German rock with no regard for other people around the pool area, just trying to impress his thia girlfriend.
Got better this weekend with Thai families, so hopefully the mood will change.
Also I'm afraid to say this is common, Indian males shouting at their phones in the breakfast area, it is rude and shows your regard for manners whilst eating
Shame as hotel is ok, rooms very tired and mould around shower area.
EXCELLENT STAFF
2015.04 Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel and Resort.
This hotel is stone’s throw from Jomtien Beach and the restaurants along the front, there are two wings, I got a last minute deal in the newer of the two wings. This hotel will transport you back to the 1980’s but it is well maintained and clean. I had one issue with the slippers provided, they were not the disposable kind but reusable flip flops which had become somewhat grubby over time, I didn’t use them.
Old and noisy
So noise with antique air con system.
It looks than airport oh highway inside the room.
Impossible to sleep 2 nights
There are pros and cons to many hotels.
Pros- we paid a bit extra to check in 6 hours early which we did not mind. The fact there was bowling in the hotel was a nice activity but mostly the pool was good.
Cons- it is a very large hotel that is in need of a remodel. The hall away to our family room stink of cigarettes and the room was not the cleanest.
It was okay for what we paid but I would be trying somewhere else next time.
There was no issues with communication between ourselves and the staff nor did I see any issues with the variety of tourists staying here.
Great location near a much cleaner beach (vs Pattaya beaches). The breakfast buffet was good. Will definitely look forward to coming back.
So dirty. Room looks so bad. Full of dast.in the shower were molt every where. We had bugs in our room. OMG we traveled one month I Thailand and that was defently our worst experience in terms of hotels. We got allergy fro bed bugs we left after one day. Even when we show them the bad conditions that didbt answer even back!!!!
