Overall great experience
Pros:

Very friendly staff. We were in town for a birthday and staff treated my daughter great!

Great place to stay in the heart of downtown Detroit. Close to all stadiums and restaurants

Great friendly staff. Valet team is top notch! Housekeeping was good. DJ or Aj I forget his name at the bar was exceptional along with the Caucasian girl with piecing and tattoos ( sorry I am forgetting your name ) great job to these wonderful and funny bartenders

Cons:

Ice machine was broken on our floor
A light in the shower would be good also. Was kind of dark in there

Convenient and nice rooms.
Pros:

The big room!!!
And the fantastic cookies!
The Round bar was nice place to chill.

Cons:

I really wish Hiltons would upgrade the room coffee maker. Water is pouring out of both holes. I would rather be able to use my own coffee pods/ filter.

Pros:

Check in service was confused and less than hospitable. After a thirty minute check in we find our room to not only be dated but disgusting. There was food crumbs in the night stand drawer and showers were unclean with spots on the wall!! The couch fold out mattress had nasty yellow stains and we had to fight with service for an hour to get adequate bedding, pillows and remotes for the room. Also the in hotel dining, is an easy pass, poor service there too!

I will give a shout out to the coffee barista and valet. Their service was friendly and hospitable
