Hotel AMANO Rooms & Apartments

Our room which included kitchen facilities and a convertible sofa was very clean and comfortable. Good espresso machine. Large TV. Too bad my command of German is nil as that was it for programming. Any English news channel would have been great! One other criticism, bath was difficult to enter and exit and no rubber mat. Not safe.

Great room as I chose the more expensive type in the property. However, the windrow view is a small graveyard which is not ideal for some travellers including myself due to religious belief. Other than that the hotel is newly renovated/built and apparently has a nice rooftop bar which was unfortunately not open the night I visited due to cold weather. The hotel is self check in and self check out so if you want the traditional welcoming feel it's not for you. The staff is nearby so if you need help they can still be available. It's a young professional or cold modern vibe whatever you call it.

Nice hotel and position. If you’re looking for anything other than a room, this might not be for you. Emailed to book parking weeks before, no responses (then told it’s full on arrival). Emailed to discuss booking 10 rooms for an event, no response.

Not sure if this is a Berlin thing or just this hotel. Staff went to ask the manager questions for me, management didn’t even come out of the office, just given a card with a general email address (that they don’t reply to).

Nice Room and great rooftop for a sunset drink

Was there for the Berlin Marathon. Staff was not helpful at all. Took forever to checkin. And they where rude when answering questions. I asked them if they new of a nice sit-down place to have breakfast in the area. They told me "You have Google", in a smart-ass tone.

A great spot to explore Berlin from. Area was quiet but walkable to many places. Bar was understaffed when we visited. Also, kind of odd that the shower is visible from the main part of the room.

Well located to transportation but walking distance to many key sites, this property offers a breakfast room, lounge/lobby, courtyard garden and an evening bar. There are many good little restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious and quiet with a good coffee service. The bathroom had a handicapped accessible shower. Staff were helpful and quick to respond.

Only the manager on duty new anything. The rest of the staff was great at say "No" or "imI don't know"

Mein Aufenthalt im Hotel Amano in Berlin war enttäuschend. Die Rezeptionistin war sehr unfreundlich und abweisend. Die Sauberkeit war mangelhaft, mit Haaren im Badezimmer und schmutzigen Gläsern, Geschirr und Mikrowelle. Der Duschkopfhalter und der Haartrockner waren defekt, ebenso wie die Beleuchtung, die flackerte und ausfiel. Das Sofa war verschmutzt und in der Kuche gab es keine Kaffeekapseln. Als ich danach fragte, wurde mir ein überhöhter Preis genannt von 3,50 pro kapsel. Die Internetverbindung war langsam und am Abend funktionierte sie überhaupt nicht. Zuletzt fand ich eine Spinne im Badezimmer.

Aufgrund des schlechten Services, der mangelnden Sauberkeit und der defekten Einrichtungen kann ich das Hotel Amano nicht empfehlen.

Everything was excellent, we had no issues with anything. The hotel was beautiful and very clean, would gladly stay there again.

Do not stay here if you what a good nigt sleep. Rooms wuth windowns to the street guaranteed noise as the windows are not sound proof. The noise on the street trams, people screaming (its a party area) bars, resturants and clubs and bumping music beats. You will hear it all. I stayed at room 212 .... maybe you van avoid this. The nosie contibed till 4 am. Also there is a bar in the hotel with pumping music so the sound goes into the hotel rooms via the window.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were brilliant. I do not have any complaints. The only recommendation I would have is to allow for more cooked food at breakfast, but that’s just my preference and may not suit the opinion of the majority.

Great hotel and wonderful staff. The only issue is that the bar downstairs gets a bit loud on the weekend and you the bass can be heard in the room 3 floors above.

This is a great hotel in an interesting part of the city. Close to transit and many small and interesting boutiques. The hotel itself is nicely designed, the rooms are super comfortable, and the staff is lovely. Excellent value!
