Lovely hotel, great location and a quieter out of town experience. Recommended.
Pros:

Lovely location and around a 20min walk into Bantry town. Very nice food served in the bar and breakfast service was very well stocked. Comfortable room but the WiFi was very flakey in room 317, starting and stopping constantly. Plenty of parking and also safe for motorcycle parking.

Cons:

WiFi was very unreliable in the bedroom (317) and constantly lost signal for several minutes before restarting. Could have been a faulty unit in the corridor but disappointing nowadays.

The bar area itself is very small and most people seem to choose to eat in the bar, rather than the large and quite underused restaurant. This results in people eating at various tables all over the reception and entrance area which was a bit unusual, as some tables and seats are meant for relaxing with drinks and not for eating meals.

Mooi schoon en fijn hotel met veel faciliteiten

Cons:

Als je rustig wil ontbijten moet je hier niet naar toe gaan tijdens school vakanties. Het leek wel een speeltuin met heeeel veel luidruchtige kinderen. Wij vonden dit niet erg maar ik kan me voorstellen dat dit als zeer onprettig ervaren wordt

Good but hotel internet useless
Pros:

Grounds and facilities were lovely. Parking easy. Nice room, good shower

Cons:

Internet was non-existant in rooms. Complained and was told there were too many people in hotel ! Could only get good signal in foyer. Phone signal poor in this part of Ireland too. The breakfast was only average so glad I got a discount on it. Service quite poor in bar, restaurant and breakfast with many but generally inattentive staff.

The hotel NOT to stay at!
Pros:

The room was clean.

Cons:

I never felt more unwelcome in a hotel. The lady at reception, Sinead, couldn’t be bothered to check me in. She had me sign a check-in form, then changed my room. When I asked why, she denied it and said she had needed that room earlier. I was then told to take the stairs to my room. I had luggage to carry, but she dismissed my concern and told be it were only three steps. It was actually two full flights of stairs, one story up and one down. She either didn’t know the hotel building or she was more ignorant than I thought at the beginning.
The room did not match the category I had booked, was at the back of the building facing a stone wall and was next to the kitchen where it stank of old frying fat!
I was not informed of anything, whether Wifi, restaurants, the leisure centre etc. She did not even wish me a pleasant stay.
The hotel is huge and is more for families with small kids. It is loud and busy, but there was no indication during the booking process that it was a family hotel.
I don’t recommend it unless you have small kids and don’t mind noise!
Their slogan as “THE hotel to stay at…”is more “The hotel NOT to stay at!!!”

Enjoyable, with a few weaknesses
Pros:

The bathrooms were excellent. The bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast selection was good enough. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the pool.

Cons:

The bedrooms were very tired and drab. The net curtain in our room was torn. The cooked breakfast quality was only fair.

lovely room with good size twin beds, easy parking, incredibly helpful staff who helped me get a legal document printed and scanned. Restaurant staff attentive. Pool was pleasant

Fully booked at weekend, so had a shorter stay than I would have liked. Will book earlier next time

Pros:

Room was very clean and quiet. Swimming pool with spa and sauna we enjoyed and it was great to be able to have a delicious meal at the hotel bar.
