I arrived at noon and they wanted to church me.Fifty five dollars to check in early but the water was turned off.So I just waited a while, and they did get me in my room.About two hours earlier
.... The room itself had issues with humidity in the air conditioner vents seemed musty.... I'm glad it wasn't any warmer out.I don't think the air would have kept up..... I asked for a quiet room but I ended up near the side door that slammed all night and day. Because the ambulance service was in the room across from me. While there office was being renovated after flooding..... Parking filled up fast and the spots were very small.... i made my reservation back in December. And I asked if I could move into a double bedroom instead of a king room and they would not lose me. So I ended up having to buy a cot in bedding.So I could share the room with my friend

The air conditioner vent was musty, and even though it wasn't that hot outside the room could not keep up to the humidity.... The humidity of the room was always in the mid to upper 60%.

Pros:

I loved my room. It was clean and smell great. I loved that there was a Walmart behind the hotel. It was convenient to get items that I had forgotten. The staff Charlotte was very professional, friendly and attentive to my needs. I will definitely use Laquinta , Ennis for my next visit. The place just need a little update. Possibly next flowers in the huge pots outside. I was very c comfortable in my room.

Cons:

Cockroach in room 115, mold on the bathroom ceiling that might have been black. The room has been well cleaned but old repairs are very sloppy. See handle inside closet door for example. Needs updating.

Coachroach in the room. Facilities need updating. Stayed in room 115; bathroom had mold on the ceiling, and poorly done old patching. Minor repairs in room were crude and inexpertly done; handle inside the wardrobe is an example.

have been coming to this hotel for the TX2K event for the past two years, and I’ve had a similar experience both times. I would like to kindly suggest improving the housekeeping service, as the room was not cleaned during my stay, and items like towels and toilet paper were not automatically replenished. I had to go to the front desk to request them.

I believe enhancing this aspect would greatly improve the overall guest experience, especially for longer stays like mine (4 nights).

Aside from that, everything else is great—the facilities are excellent. I would also like to mention that the bed in room 129 makes noise when moving, which made it a bit uncomfortable to rest.

Thank you for your attention, and I hope this feedback helps improve future stays.

Will not stay at La Quinta again.
Cons:

Had to leave early. Was told by front desk I would not be charged for remaining days but could not give me a receipt because I booked on line. Ultimately got charged for unused days.
