I booked a 5m squared room this time and it was like a rabbit hutch. Should have paid more attention and will next time

Would stay here again. Very comfortable

The bed was superking, the room size was generous. We looked out to the High Street. The staff were friendly. The location was superb. Hotel had a lift.

Tatty, but a great breakfast.
Pros:

Very central to Keswick.

Check-in was smooth and easy. Thank you to the person on reception.

Breakfast was amazing. Continental with a selection of cereals, jams, teas and coffees. Waited a while for the main event. But it was good quality. Eggs were perfect for everyone. Had to ask for more tea and coffee, service was a little bit slow but it was busy. But overall an excellent breakfast.

Rooms was clean enough. I booked for 7 people, so 4 rooms, 3 twins and 1 single. All the rooms were on the same floor. Which was really handy.

Shower pressure great. A nice offer of complimentary toiletries.

Car parking offered was okay, although we didn't use it. Central to one of the main car parks in Keswick.

Cons:

Room 15 had a shower that kept turning itself on and off every 20 minutes. So the 2 people sleeping in that room got no sleep. However, they didn't want to complain because they knew the hotel would be full and didn't want to move at 2am.

Room 14 was absolutely boiling. The radiator wasn't on, and the window was hard to reach behind the table and chairs. So without re arranging the room at 3am, it was impossible to cool the room down.

Furniture is in need of an update, especially the bathroom, as water has got into the bottom of the hand basin and looks a bit scruffy. The vanier had come off the bottom of the unit and the chip board was on show.

Perfect stay!!
Pros:

Everything. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is really well located, quiet, clean, great parking, lovely staff. The breakfast was really good! We’ve had a lovely stay here and will definitely be back.

I would stay here again, but only when the work has been completed
Pros:

Great location, nice large room, good size bed. Good breakfast in a nice restaurant.

Cons:

No advised about the work being carried out in the hotel through out the first floor. Constant construction noise from 8am till 5pm. I understand it has to be done but should have been told prior to booking.

Disappointing, and expensive (£180) for one night.
Pros:

They had workmen in! Dust everywhere! The room was £180 & not value for money.

Cons:

The fire alarm went off at 11.55pm, the radiator in the room wouldn’t work and we had to ask for a heater.

We really enjoyed our weekend at Keswick and the Skiddaw. It's a lovely, warm and welcoming hotel.
Pros:

The hotel is in a great location, in the centre of Keswick. Staff were very pleasant and the room and bathroom were excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Comfy hotel in centre of town,would go again
Pros:

In centre of Keswick .nice view from window

Cons:

Too warm at night ,didn’t see any way of turning heating down.Getting refurbished at moment so a bit noisy during the day but was reflected in price of stay so didn’t bother us too much .

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Well worth a visit.

I liked the staff and their approach to customers regardless of their age or background. The facilities were lovely and comfortable.

Cons:

The parking was not easy to find especially at night. Signage could be better in that respect.
