Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable, great bed.
Pros:

Immaculate, great location, nice breakfast, lovely staff. Dog was welcomed

Not many areas to sit and relax especially if you had a dog but plenty of local pubs

Fab hotel in a cracking location
Pros:

Room 202 on 2nd floor had just been refurbished so really good. Overlooked the main street so noisy with the window open but with it closed at night could hardly hear anything. Location was excellent as surrounded by hotels, bars and shops. Staff were brilliant, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast really good with lots of choice. Breakfast was till 9.30 but unlike other hotels which usually begin to clear away quickly nothing was rushed so you didn't feel the need to hurry. The extention at the front of the hotel is a bonus especially if the weather is a bit chilly.

Cons:

Evening meals could have been a little hotter but that's our personal opinion.

Central location. Adjacent to car park. Cheap parking. Excellent helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and service,

Cons:

Steps on ground floor from rear entrance to reception. Steps up from reception to lift. Have to say that staff were most helpful with luggage !

A lovely place to stay and would highly recommend hotel Skiddaw.
Pros:

It was spacious, in a great position in the centre of town. Quiet and very clean. Facilities were great, heated towel rail, large room, great bathroom. Breakfast was excellent lots of choices and food cooked to order. Staff were professional and helpful.

Cons:

Lots of stairs and lifts not available to all levels. Paid parking that we were not advised of before we stayed.

Great hotel in even better location
Pros:

Great hotel in fab location. I had a great sleep in the Wonderful comfy bed and the rate included a very extensive breakfast too. The beef suet pudding on the dinner menu was delicious and very reasonably priced. Dan on reception was extremely helpful too. Highly recommend.

Cons:

It was a warm night and I had to sleep with window open and the noise from air conditioning units outside was a bit annoying.
