The resort itself was lovely, well maintained and had a very cozy atmosphere, with two pools and friendly staff. The apartment was spacious and had a lot of potential to be a really comfortable place to stay.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing, particularly regarding cleanliness, maintenance and basic facilities.
There was visible mould in the shower and behind the shower door. The towels smelled damp and mouldy rather than fresh, and the toilet and bathroom did not feel properly cleaned. The floors were so dirty that our feet turned black after walking barefoot. With our 10-month-old baby, we did not feel comfortable letting him crawl on the floor, so we had to carry him around most of the time, which became exhausting. The bathtub drain was already blocked when we arrived, had no drain strainer and became even more blocked after showering, despite our attempts to remove the hair ourselves.

The apartment was advertised as having a fully equipped kitchen, which was one of the main reasons we booked it. We were travelling with our 10-month-old baby and needed to prepare his meals without added salt or sugar, so we had to cook a week’s worth of food for him. Unfortunately, there was only one knife, a bread knife and very limited cooking equipment. We had to improvise a lot, which defeated the purpose of renting an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen.

The pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable, some pillow cases used and thing poor quality. Both bedrooms had only one power outlet near the bed, positioned inconveniently far away, which was particularly impractical when travelling with a baby.

The AC from the neighboring apartment was extremely loud, sounding like a plane taking off in the middle of the night. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, and construction work directly around our patio made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor space.

Although the apartment was spacious, it felt impersonal and lacked attention to detail. The plain white interior, cold lighting and unattractive leather sofa made it feel more functional than welcoming or homely. We also ate at the hotel restaurant once, but the food was expensive for the quality and rather underwhelming.

Det var som en oas mitt i staden. Nära till Praia da Rocha. God mat och trevligt poolområde.

Cons:

Saknade ledstång i vissa trappor. Hade varit trevligt med ett gym.
