Stayed for New Year’s Eve celebration which were great
Enjoyed the spa
Overall very tired needs updating
Staff were pleasant
Breakfast not included and £15 additional for the spa facilities. Check in was completed by the chef who came out with a bowl of food in his hand.
Room was dated, mould
In shower/bath. Additional breakfast charge and spa charge.
Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable just becoming dated. English breakfast was good but pastries were dry and I didn't notice any available fruit/yoghurt. Restaurant staff again were friendly but need to be a little more attentive with service. Steak was cooked to my liking. I cannot comment on facilities as not used, overnight business stay only. Plenty of room for parking car.
Price for room is acceptable but maybe should of included breakfast.
Location
Room was very dated Bed was uncomfortable. A wedding was on and our room was near the wedding party, the noise was unbearable until very late.
The breakfast was a joke. Not enough staff on to cope, tables not set, dirty dishes not cleared away. Not enough food laid out. We went to complain, but no Duty Manager at the hotel to tell just weekend staff who were not interested.
Breakfast was brilliant. Nice and hot and plenty of choice.
We only stopped one night and did not come across anything we did not like.
Location to the shopping centre
Breakfast was cold
The courteous and professional staff were excellent and friendly made our stay more enjoyable
The bedrooms are very undated . Could do with being updated
We have stayed here 8 years ago and they are still the same
Not sure we will visit again
Spa was lovely and good location
Festival right next door playing Lou music till w at late into the night. Ordered flowers and Prosecco to be in room upon arrival. No flowers no Prosecco had to ask at reception about it. Did get refunded for no flowers and proessco arrived at room almost 2 hours after check in. There were also cobwebs over the windows and the blinders were broken. Rooms are a little dated.
I booked this for a colleague visiting our office. Location is great, it's set in beautiful grounds and the reception and restaurant and communal areas are really pleasant. My colleague said the staff are helpful and breakfast was very good.
I booked this for a colleague visiting our office. She had to change rooms as the original had cobwebs and dust. She tried ordering food to the room, they didn't have the first 2 things she ordered, then was told she was using the old menu. Then food arrived and she was asked to pay immediately, then the card payment system didn't work. Food was fine if luke warm. We had planned to eat as a team in the hotel on the 2nd evening but based on all that we decided to go to Heals Hall instead.
Clean, friendly staff, good location, great breakfast, evening food good (although very very slow)
Was not given free WiFi code upon checking in. Dinner was painfully slow (was in the restaurant for 1.5hrs on the night of the 19th August with only two staff appearing to be on duty in the restaurant). Banged head on ledge over sink twice due to height of fascia.
Was lovely
