The house was perfect for our family.
The AC was not working good upstairs.
Beautiful scenery, and neighborhood feel.
Everything!
It was nice and quiet. The units were really clean.
On the first unit, we couldn’t get the key lock to the door to work had multiple calls to the staff which they accommodated us except for the last guy that was supposed to be there in the morning the next day, but didn’t never show up and then came that afternoon and then decided they were gonna change the lock but then never did let anybody know that so we ended up having to change the unit to a different one pack up our stuff and move completely. It was OK but a little uncomfortable to have to pack everything up and move.
Atmosphere
Unfriendly staff, cottage not very clean not everything worked.
The pool area and location.
Our house was infested with ants. Are 2 nights we packed up everything and drove into the night to get us home. We still have not had a call back from management. Our first 2 stays there were great. Won't be going back.
We weren’t actually able to stay at Stormy Point Village due to a maintenance issue but when one of the staff members called to let us know they have changed our entire reservation, she was very rude. I asked for her to text me the new location we were 20 minutes away from Stormy Point. She never sent it so I had to call back.
Staff members knew it was an ongoing maintenance issue I would’ve liked to be notified a few hours before my arrival, not 20 minutes.
Clean, comfortable.
"Get your parking pass," is code for "hear about a timeshare pitch." The lady giving out parking passes had a hard time comprehending the word "no." Problems with door locks, keys had to be reprogrammed multiple times.
I think the concept of the property itself is a really good idea. It's like a home away from home. Everything you need is in your own personal cottage unit.
Staff was great, from the check in front desk workers, despite getting hammered and disrespected by rude entitled guests, they all seemed to keep their professionalism and respect for their guests, all the way down to the maintenance guys and housekeeping staff. We had the opportunity to speak to a few of them and they all were very pleasant, respectful, and professional. I would honestly advocate a hefty pay raise for everything they have to deal with.To be honest, those are the unsung heros of what makes that resort operate.
Upon arriving to our cottage unit, the overall cleanliness was good, however, you can tell they did not dust or sweep the floors. There was dust on the frames, windows sills, and blinds. Found dead bugs all over the window sills. Floors were not swept thoroughly and dinning room table was not wiped down, had a sticky residue on it.
The smell of raw sewage throughout the day was very off-putting to point where i wanted to leave.
They did have a water outage due to city water main issues during our stay which affected the water pressure and clarity.
The main pool at the water park was filthy and brown. Some other guests were also very vocal about " catching diseases" in that water, we'll pass. It didn't help that the light house outdoor pool also had issues that it had to be shutdown, cleaned, and refilled. The only other option was the indoor pool, which that wasn't bad.
The location
They told us everything was working but that was not true. The slide 🛝 was open for like 1 hour in 2 days we tried to stay then the water was off then you were told to boil water after you tried to feed kiddos or your self. You asks the front desk and they justed tell you 1 story then it's another story. Not worth the money they asking to stay there. Very bad experience would not recommend for anyone
It was very peaceful
We had to clean dog s*** up off the floor that was left there from the people before us.\n They started to send me through a seminar. Took a $40 deposit never gave it back.\n The cabin we had had no parking spot. We had a park down the block and walked to the cabin.
The location
Just not a good stay !!!
