Sports activity area areas not operational like Billiards and table tennis. Food was average. Housekeeping needs supervision and instruction. But it was not that bad.
Excellent hotel, had an amazing stay. Front office staff were very polite and helpful (best service ever). Was impressed with Housekeeping staff and lobby staff. Thank you to everyone for making our stay comfortable:)

Tasty food in the Breakfast including vegetarian. Good service by chwf Vaisakh. Moe and others. Good support. Indian food prepared like home made. Fresh juices also another advantage. Alk restaurants staff's behave politely. and friendly.
Excellent place to stay in Sohar with family. Got a free upgrade to suite room. Breakfast was amazing with so many options including South Indian. Ambience was really good. Easy connectivity to city and airport though area is calm. Highly recommended.
On a business trip to this part of Oman felt staying far away from home but not on food. Excellent work by chef Vaisakh and team. Keep it up👍🏻

Great comfortable hotel. Quite as not many occupancy. Most remarkable in this hotel is excellent dining facility, especially the breakfast and the Chef Mr. Vaisakh .. he makes excellent dishes same like having food back home. Keep up the good work ..
Very good overall (staff, restaurants) but for some reason no more live football in sports bar, which I believe not acceptable for a 5-star hotel. But I understand that not everybody likes football...
Today, Monday, we had a very nice dinner session at the Crowne Plaza Sohar restaurant, and we enjoyed the various dishes, the good food, and the good reception, especially the reception of the evening shift manager and supervisor of the restaurant, Mr. Rashid Al-Muqbali. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to him and all the employees and management.

Very organized place to stay, very clean room, friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast, I will book again if I return to the area in the future, was really a good choice
Très bon hôtel. Un peu dur à trouver si vous n'avez pas encore votre GPS car manque d'indication sur la route. Autrement le séjour est excellent. Le restaurant SteakHouse est un peu cher comparé aux prix pratiqués à Oman, mais il y en a 2 autres dans l'hôtel (dont le sportbar excellent !)
Amazing and unexpected welcoming of fresh fruit and dates with chocolate. That was very thoughtful for a traveler arriving at midnight. Extremely clean room with top notch accessories.
I like the staff, especially Amanjeet and Mustafa from the reception. They are very helpful and make things easier and more smoothly. The area is very good; there are many coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom. I will definitely stay again.
جلست في الفندق ليلة، رائع، ومصطفى وأمانجيت من الاستقبال كانوا متعاونين جدا. تحيط بالفندق الكثير من المقاهي والمطاعم، فمكانه رائع. الشيء الوحيد الذي لم يعجبني هو حمام الغرفة. ولكن مع ذلك، يستحق الفندق أن أسكن فيه من جديد.
Appreciations goes out to team Crowne plaza Sohar, specially that one important person named Zakaria, Zakaria is truly a professional and for him his guest comfort is very very important. He has assisted me at all time, we needed special assisted service, and he was always there to support. I know him from my past experience when he was duty manager in Crowne plaza Muscat OCEC .
Great person with excellent leadership qualities
This was supposed to be a dream getaway which turned to be a nightmare.
Let me start with the positives
1. Mansoor at the check- in - absolute gem. Epitome of customer service.
2. Young Indian lady at the restaurant during breakfast- eager to ensure good service.
Now the nightmare
1. The hotel is literally covered in pigeon poop and no one seems to be bothered.
2. Checked- in and decided to call room service for lunch. Tried 2 times. Kept ringing and no one bothered to answer. Finally get a call back after 35 mins asking if we still want to order 😅
3. Decided to have the sofa bed opened up. Whoa - cushions are torn and dirty. Picture attached.
4. Went out to the balcony. The wooden railing seems to have never been polished since the hotel opened up in 2009.
5. Looked down from the balcony and again see bird poop everywhere and seems like it’s been there for ages with no one bothered to clean.
6. Raised a complaint and was offered an upgrade as a service recovery.
7. Go into what was supposedly a suite with a kitchen area. Lo behold - the kitchen area has nothing. There was space for an electric stove but no stove. No cutlery, no dishes, no cutlery.
8. In the bathroom, the close up mirror was defective.
9. There was a notice next to the tub to use the rubber mat but no rubber mat.
10. There was a TV with Netflix, Prime and Apple - great - but you had to use your own sign-in 😂
11. The fruit platter was stale.
12. Morning breakfast- they ran out of sambhar and added boiling water to the remaining one. Could hear so many guests complaining.
13. Took a stroll down to the pool area. Again bird poop everywhere. Seems like cleanliness was the last priority.
This hotel needs to literally close down and clean up. Even the Crowne Plaza signage outside had pigeon poop.
First off all I want to thank The Manger Mr. Zakria, Saif front staff Saif and Mr.Samer Manger of food and Beveridge. The hotel was nice. Rooms big. Mr Zakria upgraded us and Saif give us late check out. We order food and Mr. Samer was take care of us and the food was excellent. I want to thank all staff for everything and I will going to come back again.
