Title: Disappointing Stay — Too Many Things Not Working
I was really disappointed with my stay at the La Quinta Inn near North East Mall in Fort Worth. The hot tub was out of order during my visit, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. On top of that, the ice machines on two different floors were not working, and the breakfast juice machine was also broken.
It felt like basic amenities that guests expect just weren’t being maintained. The staff were polite, but the overall experience didn’t match the price or the La Quinta standard I’m used to. I hope management takes better care of these issues for future guests.
Very good customer service, nice room
Hallway smelled bad, like a toxic cleanser. I held my breath whenever going in the hallway.
Refrigerador malo y aire acondicionado malo . Y el depósito no me lo devolvieron aún cuando dejé todo organizado y no se dañó absolutamente nada
The front desk clerk was very friendly. In fact I had originally booked the wrong dates, but he was able to help me out and switch them. He also told me that he had included breakfast in our stay.
The next morning when we got up to have breakfast, two women at the front stopped us and asked us our room number which we provided and she said no breakfast and I said oh the guy from last night told us that he had included breakfast so she walked away and got on the phone. I’m assuming that she may be called the clerk from the night before, but I’m not sure since she didn’t communicate that with me. After a few minute, wait she walked back over and again said no breakfast so there’s not much more I can do at that point I just said thank you and checked out and left.
the common areas were clean, nice and tidy
The room given was not what I wanted. the room was hot when I went in. the AC was not on. I booked this room as I live about a mile from it and my AC broke (at my house) just moments before. That is why we went to a hotel for the night. If i wanted to be hot and misible, i could have saved the money and stayed home. The AC worked in my room but it took long to cool the room off. it was to hot to sleep most of the night as it took too long for my liking to cool off the room from the temperature it was. i also was not to keen on the fact that the bath towels rested on the toilet tank above the toilet and 3 towels were hung onthe railiing beside the toilet bowl that reached far below the top of the bowl. good thing the room was hot, I just air dried and didnt use the towels. Not the greatest expiernce
Room key would never work we had to get them to fix it any time we wanted in our room.
Staff was cordial. Room was clean. TV and basic needs were all functioning.
The lobby as very hot during check in, but NOTHING compared to our room. Easily over 90 degrees in our room when we got there. We turned on the AC but had to go down and spend about an hour in the lobby (that had seemed so hot when we got there, but 80's was pleasant compared to our room!) The AC worked well, so thankfully we were fine through the night. But the bathroom did not have any AC so going to the bathroom/brushing teeth/taking a shower all felt like you were in sauna. Our TV worked fine, but my sister-in-law in the next room (also terribly hot) did not have a functioning TV.
The breakfast was pretty pitiful. I chose to buy breakfast somewhere else rather than eat what was there. Just a small smattering of ultra-processed junk food. I don't expect much from a hotel breakfast, but this wasn't worth eating to me. At least throw in a little fruit, maybe? Or some eggs?
Overall, it was fine for one night, but I would not stay here again.
It was clean
