Overall, the stay was pleasant except the broken elevators.
Pros:

The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The rooms were nice, very clean and the bed was comfortable. We did not have breakfast as we left too early every morning. The location was very close to the Kirklin Clinic/UAB where we had multiple appointments that spanned 3 days. We were within walking distance to both.

Cons:

We have stayed at Springhill Suites multiple times and on two of those occasions the elevator/s were not working correctly. During our first stay, only one of the elevators worked, but during this last stay neither elevator worked. Thankfully, we were only on the second floor so walking up/down the stairs were not too bad. But I really felt bad for the guests staying on higher floors. Employees were having to take the guests' luggage to their rooms for them.

Pros:

Gabby was great, she was friendly and offered amazing customer service.
However, the hotel did not have hot water. Hot water, if it came on lasted maybe 1-2 minutes. A weekend with several events and no water is very disappointing. This was not a new issue, it's been ongoing. The manager was of little assistance as he was aware of the problem.

Pros:

We booked this specifically for the 2 queens and sofa as we had 5 people. We showed up at midnight as we were driving to Destin.

When we got there all they had was a king and sofa. Leaving one of my kids to sleep on the floor. And they had no blankets.

Cons:

The bed bugs in the room , the tv wasn’t working , the elevator working then stopped working, the charging plugs didn’t work , and my room door was left cracked open when me and my partner left out to go to the pool

One word, disaster.

Cons:

Both elevators were out of service. My husband is 100% disabled. The first night staff moved us from the fourth floor to the second and we could handle that. But the ice machine was not working, our phone didn't work, and our room didn't get cleaned on Thursday.

Pros:

Loved the area, many things within walking distance. All the staff were awesome. Front desk supervisor Taquai was great helping us with parking and directions
