Great location, AARP rates, clean, amenities and friendly staff.

Cons:

The freg ice maker never worked. I told the staff and no one came to the room to fix the problem. It was 90-102 temperatures in Texarkana, Texas. I had to go down to the lobby where there was a snack area for hotel guest. The hotel had a freezer with ice that guest could pick up. I even picked up ice from the reception area staff.

The bathroom sink hot water level never was hot. It was barely warm water. I used the kitchenette sink for hotter water to wash my hands, wash my face and brush my teeth.

The hotel staff could have moved me to different room but they didn't offer. These things should not happen to hotel guest.

There was no breakfast. Since it was animal friendly, I could not stay but one night , I have allergies and had a hard time breathing.

Cons:

a breakfast would have been nice.
I still have not gotten my refund

14 hours road trip, finally arrive at 2:30am and get in bed, find a tick crawling in our bed
