We are on a road trip up to Nova Scotia from Florida. We are travelling with our golden retriever, his crate, and assorted stuff plus our things. Therefore, the one amenity we really need is a luggage cart to get everything from the car into the room.
This morning, my husband went in search of a luggage cart so we could check out, load the car, and leave. There were no carts to be found! No one was outside loading cars. The front desk clerk told my husband that people take the carts into their rooms.
This is so unbelievably inconsiderate. Because the clerk obviously is aware of this, the hotel should do something to prevent this. Maybe keep the carts behind the desk and request a deposit to use one with a time allowance of maybe 30-45 minutes. Then the deposit will be returned once the cart is returned.
The cart issue is the main reason for the three. Other than that, there was plenty of nice grass for my dog. The room was spacious enough for his crate- he’s a large golden retriever. He was welcome to join us in the lobby for dinner. Yes, the food is a bit pricy but being able to bring the dog and sit in air conditioned comfort was worth it.
I hope the hotel can do something to enable all guests to have access to the luggage carts when they need them.
Even though it was a Yale graduation, I thought the price was too inflated. Somehow a breach of trust. So many Yale students have scholarships, but families aren't rich, as in the old days. Even 50 dollars less per night would be welcome. As it was, I felt you were commanding my money because you could. Tacky.
It was better than my last hotel
Kids running in hallway making lots of noise
Close to mall
Hair in the bathtub
Beautiful, comfortable and spacious
Nothing it was great!
The breakfast, although pricey, was absolutely worth it!!!
