Good value but management need to fix elevator and update the rooms.
Pros:

The location was great - stayed at Oaks for Supercars, bed is comfortable and air con worked really well.

Cons:

The room on 2nd floor is dated and smell musty, need new carpet and only 1 working elevator during our stay, thankfully it wasn't very busy. The underground car park is not secure, reception staff said boom/security gate is being fixed.

I enjoyed the view of Townsville. The infinity pool and view was great. Comfortable large room.
Pros:

Location was good, very close to a lot of good eateries. I especially loved the infinity pool. Also laundry provided as well.

Great location and comfortable stay
Pros:

I regularly stay at this Hotel and it is well located, walking distance to the esplanade and close to shops and restaurants. It is always clean and comfortable and has washers and dryers which is handy because I am regularly visiting my son who is a student in Townsville and he often needs some washing done!

Cons:

Very tired rooms. Rooms need to be refurbished and deep cleaned. Have stayed on many visits to Townsville over the years and won’t stay again because of the rooms.

Overall good facilities in a great location. Attention needs to be paid to healthy ventilation.
Pros:

We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite which was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom included washing machine and drier that we utilised (very handy). Well equiped kitchen (though we ate out for dinner). Location great for a walk along the river to the port, and a wide selection of eateries.

Cons:

The suite had 2 split air conditioners that are good for cooling / heating, but don’t provide any ventilation. The balcony door had to be left open to stop the build up of CO2. This was quite noisy, as large commercial air handlers were on the roof directly in front of and below the balcony, and close to road noise. For this time of year, it was a relatively minor inconvenience (for 1 night).

Fantastic Stay
Pros:

I had a fantastic stay at Oaks Townsville. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The bed was extremely comfortable, and having a full kitchen and laundry was a real bonus.

The location is excellent—within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafés, and the waterfront, making it a perfect base for exploring Townsville. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

The facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would happily recommend Oaks Townsville to anyone visiting the area for business or leisure.
