Cool beach stay with good on-site dining
Pros:

The room was as advertised with a funky design, ocean view, comfortable and just the right size. Buffet breakfast had enough variety and we enjoyed the bar and restaurant. We liked being in a less busy part of Surfer’s, but only a block from the beach and 10 minutes walk to the busier areas. Noise insulation could be better – we think it’s cause our room had a connecting door, so we sometimes heard our neighbours through it. There’s a construction site next to the hotel – it didn’t bother us as we were mostly out when they were working.

Not up to QT standard. At all.
Pros:

I’ve stayed at QT’s before and love the decor, vibe and facilities. Usually.

Cons:

Multiple construction works meant several facilities were closed. There was a function at the hotel in our first night meaning NONE of the restaurants were open. They served food in the foyer instead. I felt like a stranger in the hotel I’d booked to stay at.

Was ok. For the time we spent at the hotel I would probably opt for something less expensive
