We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Blue Boar. The inn is lovely and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely. We also ate our evening meal in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. The inn is very close to Stratford and there is also a lovely antiques and interiors centre with cafe nearby. We will certainly stay at The Blue Boar again if we are in the area.

It was cosy, clean, the staff made us feel so welcome and the food was absolutely amazing and delicious, the outside looked amazing the inside was amazing your very beautiful beamed historic features and the room was decent size and we had the best sleep ever

Food was OK...was simply asked eventually well what dyu want...had to go in search of someone to give us tea ...after that we were asked not by her but by a person I assumed was the manager 'what do you want
Unfriendly ...was almost the first statement the bar closes at 10pm ...it was Friday night !
Welcoming at first, but basics of hot water and safely cooked food cannot be relied on.
No hot water on day 2 or the following morning, meaning cold shower, cold shave.
Undercooked meal served twice (sent it back) and undercooked eggs at breakfast.
A lovely historic property, nice full English breakfast, very accommodating staff. We had dinner at the property one evening and really enjoyed it.
Given there are EV chargers on site (the provider is Osprey) it would have been great to charge our car up overnight, but only high-speed DC charging is possible, no Type 2 AC charging which our PHEV needs.

Breakfast menu could do with a bit of bakery selection, as got vegetarians not a lot to offer but cereal and toast.
The generous size of the room which was also very quiet.
