The room was very spacious!
Minimal options for breakfast
Bathroom is small
Clean, quiet, simple. I was here for work for a full week and loved how large and clean the room was , had a refrigerator, microwave, 2 TVs and a desk. The room was very clean, smelled great, comfortable bed. The couch in the room does have some staining but understandable as they are a very light grey color. Front desk was very pleasant as well as housekeeping staff! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay!
Quiet , but poor breakfast and working ice machines.
Coffee and creamer from downstairs good.
Location...ok
Breakfast...not enough choices. Eggs and sausage were not hot. Greek yogurt was runny.
Tvs weren't working for 3hrs. We were told the TVs were being worked on (in the whole building) and would be up back up soon.
Tub mat was filthy. Didn't use shower. Only 1 face cloth. Was told that was standard and we needed to call for more if needed.
Elevators smelled like wet dog.
No mattress protector. Thin fitted sheet that didn't cover the mattress. Lumpy mattress.
Filthy couch.
Refrigerator had thick ice at the back.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
After reading through some of the reviews for Cambria, I honestly had to write my own because it seems like people have forgotten what a hotel stay actually is.
Some of these complaints are honestly unbelievable. The hotel is “going downhill”? Or has everyone just become more demanding, less patient, and less kind? Anything nowadays is an inconvenience - if you don't like it - STAY HOME.
Complaining about the flag? Seriously? Is the flag now a political issue? Are we really going to rate an entire business based on what flag they chose to display? A hotel stay should be judged by the service, cleanliness, comfort, and experience not something that has nothing to do with the quality of the room or the people working there.
Complaints about the pool being too small? It’s an indoor pool for goodness sake, not a luxury resort. I’m not sure what people expect them to do, pick up the building and expand it overnight?
And the breakfast complaints are my favorite. The breakfast is FREE. Free. Included with your stay. What exactly are people expecting — a five-star brunch with a chef waiting to prepare a custom meal? If that’s what you’re looking for, there are plenty of restaurants happy to take your money. But by the looks of it they'd probably find something to complain about there too.
What really bothers me about some of these reviews is not the complaints themselves — it’s the way some people choose to treat and direct themselves about the staff. People have become so comfortable being rude and disrespectful, even going as far as threatening to call ICE on employees simply because they assume someone's immigration status? What has this world come to? That is not a reflection of the hotel ... that is a reflection of the person making the threat. The people working at this hotel and any other establishment are human beings who deserve basic respect. You give some, you get some.
My personal experience at Cambria was nothing but positive. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very welcoming and attentive. My TV wasn’t working, they came up and fixed it right away — turns out a cord had simply been unplugged. When I needed an iron to press my husband’s clothes, the staff didn’t hesitate and even brought a brand new one up to my room for me. Those little things matter and show the level of service they provide.
This hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff has always been welcoming. Maybe some things have changed, but maybe peoples expectations and attitudes have changed even more. Just remember - treat others as you would like to be treated.
I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!!
The hotel still has the old Minnesota flag. If you know you know. Stay at your own risk.
Easy to access. Located in greenery. Close to aldes (should advertise that. I stumbled on to it). Great scrambled eggs!
Noise from highway if trying to sit outside on south.
Bathroom under vanity very duty, hair in the shower and bathroom floor. Asked for pillows for the hide a bed-was told they do not have extra pillows! King bed did not even have a bedskirt on it. Front desk person- manager not pleasant.
Staff were polite, facility is clean and location great.
