Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Uvalde by IHG

Room was cleaned daily. Well lit. AC worked well and bathroom was spacious. Hotel was quiet during our stay. We departed by 6am each morning but were able to grab something from breakfast area despite opening at 6:30. Coffee was good and each cup individually ground and fresh.
Gia at front desk was very helpful when we needed it. Courteous and professional.
Only negative was the room key slot constantly failing despite proper insertion. Continued after swapping out cards too.

Stop over on the way to Big Bend. Check in was ok - Room was ok - but needed a deep cleaning. AC was noisy. TV was a challenge to figure out. Linens were clean, bed - Ok - What was NOT Ok - was the shower never got warm much less hot. We asked and their excuse was they are regulated to to this temperature to keep guest from scalding. OK - I have been in hundreds of hotels in Texas and never had a temperature regulator for COLD water in the shower. On the good - the cinnamon rolls were great for breakfast.

Great place to stay. The room was very clean. The staff was super attentive and very nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was wonderful! Super clean. It looks like a new hotel. Bed and pillows were wonderful. Very comfortable stay.
Breakfast in the morning was great. They have a coffee machine e that is on 24/7 and that coffee is delicious!

Need to upgrade and remodel, remove moldy carpet and replace w laminate. Beds need upgrading. Don’t like paying for parking.

Fast and easy check in

Great hotel we stay at every year when visiting Garner State park nearby. Very close to a walmart and fast food choices like Subway, Whataburger Jack in the box, wingstop within 5 min. Comfy beds, fast elevator, nice breakfast, fancy coffee machine. Only thing is key card reader on back of building doesnt work causing us to walk around. Clean . Also clean pool

I enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn when I visit Uvalde for several reasons. The staff is always friendly, greeting me by name and responding warmly with a “good morning” or “good evening.” Their hospitality is genuine, and any service I request is provided promptly—often within minutes. After a long, busy day, walking into my room feels welcoming, with lighting that creates a warm, relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect way to end the day peacefully. That’s why I choose the Holiday Inn by Choice. I travel there for business to take care of the community and seeing my patient. Having a restful night makes all the difference to ensure the patients get the best of care.

Pool area needed a bit of attention. Shower walls needed a bit of repairs.

Everything clean and stores nearby.

Ok place. Not. Bad, not exceptional. Staff were nice. Breakfast was ok. Price for room on high side. Stayed one night. States free parking on trip advisor. $3.99 parking fee. $4.32 total charge. Charge stated on IHG website. Just expect it. Didn’t realize parking was a charge. You get a parking tag. Used points to book hotel.

The bed was too hard for us.
I was told they are about to start renovations. Maybe the beds will be softer in the near future.

But, the breakfast was very good. 24 hr fresh bean coffee machines. Pool hours 10-10. Very friendly staff. Easy booking. Close to stores and restaurants, and the rivers. Very clean facility.

It was a nice spot

Property is old. Room 225, the main door to the room is messed up. Anyone could break into that room. The door needs fixed!
Rooms are old and need updated.

Will be back
