Simple overnight hotel. Cheap. No frills.
No hot water 6.30am. Breakfast just opened at 7am and queue meant lacking cooked food - arrived but I was leaving.
Nothing bad to say, everything was good.
There could have been a bath mat and the note telling you one was available from reception could have been bigger typo as most people take there glasses off to shower so can't read the small print from the otherside of the bathroom. That's the only thing.
It was easy access, airy and great parking. Bus into Barnsley very handy.
Location
No complaints
Staff are brilliant
Food was not up to standard.
Breakfast was cold, coffee machine not working prou
The room we were given 312 did not have any air conditioning or a thermostat which could be turned up or down therefore we had to have the window open but the room was at the side of the M1 so traffic all night non stop. I have used this hotel on many occasions and this is the worst experience I have had which is a shame
Cleanliness
..
Good sized room
Breakfast not great for cost
Good location
I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was okay overall, but the pillows were uncomfortable, and the room was not properly cleaned.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. Both mornings, the hot food trays were almost empty, with only a few sausages left, and nothing was refilled even after waiting 30–40 minutes. The quality of the food was also very poor.
Overall, I was disappointed with my stay, mainly because of the breakfast experience.
It’s a great budget hotel
I don’t know if the the Toby carvery is part of the same business. It’s on the same site.
It is appalling.
I don’t think I’ve had food as bad as that in a restaurant ever,
