Nothing great but it was fine
They checked someone else into my room that I prepaid and checked me into so
Done else’s room and charged me a second time. We had the same last name but I caught it at check in. I was assured 2 times day of check in and at check out i was only charged once. They gave me a receipt with that guests info and i assume my info to him.
If that wasn’t bad enough, 2 calls to the property and i was ignored. Still have no refund
Just like several other recent 1 star reviews, I was given a room that wasn't properly cleaned. I gave management two opportunities to make things right.
On day 2 they assured me that the room would receive a full cleaning - didn't happen. On day 3, same assurance - floors recieved a dirty mopping and trash was emptied.
What was my specific and detailed complaint? Shower curtain was giving off a horrible piss smell, dirty towel hanging over the shower curtain, clearly the shower wasn't cleaned at all. The coffee pot and every other appliance had clear signs of filth.
The GM and housekeeping are gone by noon so the clerk at the front desk has to deal with all of the dissatisfied guests.
As a government employee traveling on official business, I will be recommending this property be removed from the approved list of accommodations.
Everything was beyond horrible, checked in and was given a defective key upstairs and downstairs and back up with luggage... Room was unclean. Bugs and hair in bed.bathtub moldy and dirty. Front desk came up and have be new sheets and blanket. I was so freaked out I couldn't sleep. Didn't shower either.
My son and his family have not traveled overnight or more than 10 years, because he is a disabled vet. They decided you want to travel from Maine to visit us in South Carolina. I if I wanted to pay their expenses and make the arrangements. Reserved an ADA room for their family of three. The room was was dirty upon check-in. Fire alarm went off almost immediately, and of course the elevators lock. They had a chat with a local later who said the alarms will go off frequently . Anyway, he took the stairs in in his wheelchair. Before you criticize that move, imagine, in addition to no use of legs, also having PTSD. Could you sit in the so-called refuge area with the alarm screeching and strobe lights flashing , waiting to be rescued? And his family wasn't going to leave him behind, so he took the stairs in his wheelchair. Got to the lobby and complained about the dirty room, and that he did not want to be on an upper floor after the fire alarm experience. They were put in a one bed room, so one of them was not going to have a bed. Ask for a cot, they don't have them. Asked for an adjoining room, none available. Apparently no second room available either. I called customer service four times, and they reached out to the general manager who we never heard from. Finally they decided to crash as they still have a long trip the next day. Checked out, looked at the invoice, that double charged for the ADA room they never slept in.
Wish I'd checked the Google reviews ahead of time, they are horrendous. Avoid this place at all cost. In fact, sleep in your car, you'll be better off.
Made my fifth call to customer service this morning, I'll update if anything changes.
